Malola (the_queen_bee_malola) | 29 comments Hi, guys, gals and everyone in between!
It might be good idea to spice things up in the group and maybe discuss a book on animal rights/sentientism.
Kat mentioned Eternal Treblinka by Charles Patterson might a good idea. (I recently added that book in my to-read list. She stumbled upon it in my GR newsfeed.)
So, what do you guys say??? (We can change books, of course.)
It'd be lovely to have several people discuss it.
On average, ET's chapters have 30 pages, so we could be a bit conservative and give three days per chapter (i.e. ten pages per day).
That way on late February we'll finish it.

Please, check the Facebook link before. (There's a surprise there and it's not porn. :v lol)

Hi Malola and everyone :)

So far, I haven't been able to find Eternal Treblinka online (ie local libraries), but I have found a copy en Español :) on archive.org - which is a good resource, by the way, for borrowing books.

2 more book titles I came across & added to our shelf:

Hunters, Herders, and Hamburgers: The Past and Future of Human-Animal Relationships by Richard Bulliet

and

The Power and Promise of Humane Education by Zoe Weil.

You can find these on archive.org!

Let's see what you all come up with :)

cheers,
Kat

Jamie Woodhouse | 49 comments As a tangent - I had the pleasure of interviewing Zoe Weil recently for the Sentientism podcast! (also here on YouTube: https://youtu.be/4NaSEJ4q8NQ)

Jaime:

That was such an informative and inspiring conversation with Zoe Weil , thank you for this! The notion of merging evidence based reason with solutionary work to do the most good was spot on. Here are some links for everyone to jump into the conversation:
