Cheryl Olson (girlsmama) | 694 comments Oh I'm so, so, excited for this one as I was delighted by the members that helped me out with this one. Every month you will be given 5 titles from which to choose from. These are 5 of the top reads from some of your fellow members this year. These are some great books and I'm excited for you to see your choices every month. Also included will be a few recommendations for upcoming new releases! If by chance you have read all 5 choices, you can choose to read one of the new releases when it is available! If you would like to "reveal" to the group if this is your list, then feel free to do so, but you don't have to!

Honestly I think one of my favorite parts of the group is sharing our love of reading and reading new books based on each other's recommendations, so I thought to myself, why not create a challenge featuring my favorite aspect of the group? And so for February, here are your 5 books to choose from, as well as a few new releases- (also bonus this member provided a few non-fiction choices as well)

1. The Love Note by Joanna Davidson Politano The Love Note by Joanna Davidson Politano

2. The Librarian of Boone's Hollow by Kim Vogel Sawyer The Librarian of Boone's Hollow by Kim Vogel Sawyer

3. The Land Beneath Us (Sunrise at Normandy, #3) by Sarah Sundin The Land Beneath Us by Sarah Sundin

4. The Plans We Made by Kathryn Cushman The Plans We Made by Kathryn Cushman Lauren Beccue

5. Treasured Grace (Heart of the Frontier, #1) by Tracie Peterson Treasured Grace by Tracie Peterson

Non-Fiction
1. Joey How a Blind Rescue Horse Helped Others Learn to See by Jennifer Marshall Bleakley Joey: How a Blind Rescue Horse Helped Others Learn to See by Jennifer Marshall Bleakley

2. Dutch Girl Audrey Hepburn and World War II by Robert Matzen Dutch Girl: Audrey Hepburn and World War II by Robert Matzen

3. The Forgotten 500 The Untold Story of the Men Who Risked All For the Greatest Rescue Mission of World War II by Gregory A. Freeman -The Forgotten 500: The Untold Story of the Men Who Risked All For the Greatest Rescue Mission of World War II by Gregory A. Freeman
Sarah Sundin
And some new releases to look forward to-
1. From This Moment by Kim Vogel Sawyer -From This Moment by Kim Vogel Sawyer

2. Night Bird Calling by Cathy Gohlke Night Bird Calling by Cathy Gohlke

3. When Twilight Breaks by Sarah Sundin -When Twilight Breaks by
Sarah Sundin

4. Shadow by Kara Swanson

5. Yours is the Night by Amanda Dykes Yours is the Night by Amanda Dykes

And this member also loves Joanna Davidson Politano , so if this author is releasing anything in 2021, it is a sure bet to be a great book!

Ok- so many choices for you to choose from! I hope you find a winner or two for you to enjoy this month!

Here is you're tracker- https://www.goodreads.com/challenges/...

No levels just go for as many as you can.

***Also note I realize that you may not be able to read one of these books this month, but you can count it at any time because it is the same tracker for the year. But good luck and happy reading!!

I just finished From This Moment (four stars), so I will choose Night Bird Calling to read this month. A friend recently gifted me a paperback, and I’m excited to crack it open.

Yep for sure and thank you Andrea- they all look like amazing books- definitely adding the ones that I haven't read to my list and I love that you included some Non-fiction!! Thanks so much for your help, I appreciate it!

Glad to help! The Audrey Hepburn book (Dutch Girl) was especially interesting to me. I had never heard any of the stories in it about my favorite classic actress, so it was very much like stepping back in time and experiencing the WWII era with her.

Loving this thread! I guessed Andrea when I saw the Kathryn Cushman book. :-) Just picked that up at Andrea's suggestion.

I've read all of the other picks from the Fiction list.

I read this one last month and enjoyed it.
Night Bird Calling by Cathy Gohlke

I will likely go with:
From This Moment by Kim Vogel Sawyer

Oh wow. This is such a good list! All went on my TBR list (unless they were already there), but I was especially intrigued by Dutch Girl Audrey Hepburn and World War II by Robert Matzen , so that will be my February pick 'out of a hat'.

message 8: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 548 comments The Amanda Dykes novel isn't releasing till August, is it? I don't think it is really an option.

message 9: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl Olson (girlsmama) | 694 comments Brittany - true- those are the “looking forward. To reading in 2021” books, so you can put it on your list for later on. :)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 6247 comments Mod
Thanks, Kate! Glad you found some new to-read books from my list.

message 11: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 548 comments Ah, ok. I thought the new releases were going to all be ones releasing during that month (say Feb in this case or maybe the month right before it) so they would be a reading option for the challenge of that month if we weren't picking a title from the person's list. Nice choices, Andrea. I've already read The Love Note and really enjoyed it.

message 12: by Loraine (last edited Jan 28, 2021 09:22AM) (new)

Loraine (librarydiva) | 4439 comments I have read 3 of the 5 on the initial list. I will be reviewing From This Moment by Kim Vogel Sawyer and When Twilight Breaks by Sarah Sundin in February, so those will be my picks!

Great list Andrea. I might try to sneak in Dutch Girl as well.

Katrina Lybbert | 886 comments I am going to read Dutch Girl Audrey Hepburn and World War II by Robert Matzen as it looks really good and the easiest on the list for me to get at my e-library right now.

I put The Librarian of Boone's Hollow by Kim Vogel Sawyer on hold, but I have a 14 week wait! So not for February, but I will certainly read it this year!

Thanks for the great suggestions!

I'm having a tough time getting my hands on that one ( my library doesn't have it and I'm cheap lol) But I'd love to read it at some point. Let me know how it is!

I loved this one, it's tied with The Land Beneath Us as my favorite Sarah Sundin. And with this one I had to have tissues handy. I ended up staying up one night to finish the last 40% because as once reached the 60% mark I had to know what was going to happen.
