Judy Sheluk (wwwjudypenzshelukcom) | 210 comments I've posted my review on Goodreads. There aren't any spoilers, but it's always best to read a book before reading the reviews. I look forward to moderating and will try to check in once/day.

M.L. | 365 comments Overall I enjoyed the book and the different portrayals of the people in the village. I was so involved in it, that when the story within the story changed - right at the point where Pund says he has solved it - I was a little annoyed. :) Preferring instead just a straight forward story. The murder at Pye Hall with the sword was pretty unusual. Yikes! I'm glad I read it and would read another by the same author.

Sandysbookaday (taking a step back for a while) (sandyj21) | 4769 comments I loved this book, which I read late last year. I will post a link to my spoiler free review a little later in the month. ❤📚

Barbara (cinnabarb) | 9982 comments I think the book is very clever and a wonderful homage to the golden age mysteries.

I read this a while ago. This is my review:

I agree. I so engrossed in that story that even though I knew the switch to the 2nd story would happen it was still a shocking transition when it did. I think what really helped me through it was how Susan Ryeland was right there with me wanting the last few chapters of the book too. Her beginning to hunt down those chapters eased my pain of not being able to finish that story immediately.

Thank you for taking the time to write it and post it, and thank you for sharing it. I read, vs. listened to, the book, and I think the two narrator strategy is very clever.

Jen I loved this! I was also feeling shocked when the original mystery stopped (even though I knew it was coming) but I quickly got engrossed in Susan's story. I'm hoping to read the Moonflower Murders.
