eli ♡ | 469 comments Y'all should totally read Tyler Johnson Was Here, Full Disclosure, This Is My America, and The Black Flamingo. They're all such amazing books, and I would recommend these novels to anyone because they deserve their recognition. Thanks for creating this topic, Sofia!

I liked The Vanishing Half and Such a Fun Age. I've heard that The Fifth Season is good, though I haven't read it yet.

Brooke W (thereadersgame) I've heard good things about The Henna Wars and every book by Elizabeth Acevado. Rosanne A. Brown is an author I've heard lots of good things about as well.

I LOVED YSSMIAC

Amelie | 675 comments I’d recommend Hidden Figures, it’s a really inspirational historical fiction novel. The Hate U Give and Clap When You Land are also ones I’d recommend.

celine If you like poetry, definitely check out Chlorine Sky or Saul Williams.

I also really liked I'm Not Dying with You Tonight.

Salma19 (And I Darken stan) | 155 comments I would recommend the Mirage duology by Somaiya Daud. It is a blend of light SciFi and Fantasy heavily influenced by Moroccan history. It’s about 17-YO village girl Amani who is kidnapped from her loving home to become the body double of a very hated princess. Each books are approximately 300 pages and this character-driven series has gorgeous descriptions of aesthetic. However, the romance was my least favorite part of the series. As a Moroccan person, I found that the rep was on point. I liked the second one less than the first one, but I think it’s still worth checking out if the storyline intrigues you.
