Jamie woke up in an empty apartment with no memory and only a few clues to his identity, but with the ability to read and erase other people’s memories—a power he uses to hold up banks to buy coffee, cat food and books.

Zoe is also searching for her past, and using her abilities of speed and strength…to deliver fast food. And she’ll occasionally put on a cool suit and beat up bad guys, if she feels like it.

When the archrivals meet in a memory-loss support group, they realize the only way to reveal their hidden pasts might be through each other. As they uncover an ongoing threat, suddenly much more is at stake than their fragile friendship. With countless people at risk, Zoe and Jamie will have to recognize that sometimes being a hero starts with trusting someone else—and yourself.

I got an audiobook of this so I will be starting it tomorrow.

Finished - (view spoiler)[I didn't have a lot to say about the book but the ending I really liked. I knew she wasn't going to be dead but I'm glad I wasn't wrong "Still want to rob a bank?" ahah loved that last line. (hide spoiler)]

It was a ten hours audio and I listen at 2.0 speed so it went pretty fast :)

That's pretty amazing! I can't go faster than 1.2x :D

although him playing with memories is sketchy
also, their notes were sketchy - letting them know just enough about their skills to push them towards maybe hero or villain

still curious but I think this lightening guy is talking about stopping his wife and not Jamie
but...why does anyone need to be the villain? I guess Jamie has to be bad to push Zoe? I don't get it but I guess we'll see where this goes (hide spoiler)]

I really liked this one - perfect amount of cute and scifi (view spoiler)[ I was glad she wasn't dead too! ALSO love that the cop had skills/abilities that we didn't know about until the end
