Kyra pulled the knife out of the tree. She threw it again. She kept retrieving the knife and throwing it at different trees. "Okay. Well I'll grab you a blanket and you can go back up on the overhang above us if you want." Nick said quietly.
Nick let go of her. He hopped down off the overhang into the cave. He walked to the back of the cave. Nick checked to make sure there was nothing flammable close to the fire. He picked up a blanket and then grabbed a few granola bars from his backpack before heading out of the now empty cave. Kyra kept throwing the dagger. It seemed to help her calm down.
Kyra kept throwing the knife. "You don't have to sit there and watch me, you know. I'm not gonna do anything stupid." She said loud enough for him to hear. Nick used his wings and got back up on the overhang, next to Echo. He took the blanket and gently draped it over her.
Nick sat down next to her and watched the forest. "Well, I don't like being watched." She replied, throwing the knife again.
Kyra rolled her eyes. She grabbed her knife out of the tree. She threw it again, at a different tree.
Kyra felt better, she was calm but she still felt like it was her fault. She pulled her knife out of the tree and began walking.
"You gonna stay out here?" Kyra asked, looking at the tree where he was.
"Maybe isn't an answer." Kyra said, walking away again. She walked slowly in the direction of the cave again.
"okay." Kyra wandered through the trees heading in the general direction of the cave. She slipped her dagger back into her combat boot.
Kyra kept walking. The cave was now visible in between the trees.
"You don't have anything to apologize for." Kyra said softly.
"Really, what do you have to be sorry about?" Kyra asked, still walking.
"It's fine." Kyla muttered. She kept walking.
Kyra glanced around. She bit her lower lip, wishing she could just hide out in the trees alone for a little while.
Kyra watched him for a moment before turning away from the cave again. She knew that she probably was being rude but she didn't care.
Kyra walked around for a few more minutes before heading to the cave. She waved to her brother who was sitting on the overhang.
Kyra stepped inside the cave. She stayed close to the cave entrance, trying to keep herself from panicking.
Kyra glanced over at him for a second before sitting down on the edge of the cave.
"It wasn't your fault." She said softly.
"Yeah, and I'm the one who put the wood on the fire before I left."
Kyra sighed and didn't answer. It was both of their faults.
Kyra tensed, not expecting to be hugged. She didn't pull away though.
Kyra smiled slightly and glanced back at him.
Kyra turned back to face the forest and yawned quietly.
She leaned against the cave wall and yawned softly again.
Kyra kept watching the forest and sky.
Kyra stayed where she was. ((Skip to morning?))
Kyra hadn't slept at all. She was still sitting at the mouth of the cave. Nick yawned and sat up. He had dozed off on the overhang next to Echo.
Kyra stood up and stretched. She had barely moved from where she sat all night. Nick noticed Echo was awake next to him. "Morning."
((It's alright.))Nick smiled at her. "Did you sleep good?" He asked quietly.
"Morning," Kyra replied quietly. She walked to the back of the cave and threw another piece of wood on the fire to keep it from dying.
Kyra smiled slightly, hearing his joints popping. She made sure nothing was too close to the fire and knelt next to her backpack. She opened it and grabbed some granola bars. She tossed one at Dante, aiming for his head.
"That's good." Nick replied, smiling.
"Good." Nick smiled slightly. He normally only slept for a few hours but that night he had slept all night. Kyra smiled. She closed her backpack and slipped her own granola bar into her pocket.
"Sure." Kyra shrugged and stood up. She yawned softly and walked toward the cave entrance. "Yeah." Nick looked around. He was looking to make sure he didn't see any people or even worse, Erasers coming toward them.
Nick smiled, looking at her. She seemed at least somewhat calm to him which was good. "No. I don't mind." Kyra said softly. She opened her wings and took off. She hovered near the cave entrance.
Kyra flew a little ways behind him. She looked over her shoulder and waved at her brother. Her dark wings glided through the air. "Yeah, I guess so." Nick shrugged. He smiled at her and looked around.
Nick remained silent, looking around. Kyra flew behind him. Her wings stood out in the sky. Her wings were black due to the Raven DNA in her body.
Kyra followed him as they flew closer to the ground. Nick watched in the direction of where Dante and Kyra had gone.
Nick wondered where Kyra had gone with Dante. He kept looking around. Kyra landed on the edge of their campsite and closed her wings.
"Of course." Kyra took one of the satchels from him. Nick looked at echo's dark wings. He smiled at her.
"Sure." Nick stood up and offered his hand to help her up. Kyra smiled slightly. She opened her wings and took a few jogging steps to take off. She hovered in between the trees, waiting for him.
Kyra flew through the trees back to where the cave was. She avoided hitting any trees. Nick pulled her to her feet and let go of her hand. He opened his wings, smiling.
Nick waited a moment before jumping into the air after her. Kyra flew carefully toward the cave. She loved feeling the wind blowing against her wings.
Kyra landed next to him. She set the satchel she was carrying down. She sighed softly. Nick flew next to her, smiling. He watched her as she flew.
Nick followed her higher into the sky. He was glad that he had met these other two hybrids. Kyra bit her lower lip, looking around. She didn't know what to say or do.
Kyra reached down to her left combat boot and pulled out a dagger. She aimed at a nearby tree and threw the blade at the tree.
