You mark spoilers like this: <*spoiler> and end them with *spoiler> without the asterisks(*)

Hi. You can read this without the previous Grishaverse books, but things will be more clear if you read the shadow and bone trilogy.
Even then, you can read this without reading those books.

If you’re starting with this, I’d recommend you to watch this before starting. It will clear some things up.

Yes, it is backstory.
Both the characters DO NOT appear in the shadow and bone trilogy! :)

I just finished it, and the character relations were PHENOMENIAL, but I don't think it was as incredible as people hyped it up to be. I finished the Selection before this and like it better than this 0-0

However, it was still incredible and I think Crooked Kingdom will be even better. I also think if I read the Shadow and Bone trilogy beforehand I would have liked it better!
