Feed Your Readers, the NetGalley Challenge

Duration: Monthly

How to Participate:

The NetGalley Challenge is designed to not only get you to read your NetGalley books, but to also advertise your reviews for others to see because after all, that's what NetGalley is all about.

Though you may pop in/out at any time, the NetGalley Challenge will run on a monthly basis so you are able to see progress being made.

1. At the beginning of the month, post any/all of the following:
a: How many books on your NetGalley shelf
b: What books are on your NG shelf
c: What your Netgalley feedback ratio is

2. During the month, read the NetGalley books that you can AND update your post with your reviews. (You can do this after each book or wait until the end of the month.)

3. At the end of the month, update your post and with:
a: What books you read
b: Link(s) to your review(s)**
c: Your updated shelf count
d: Your updated books to read
e: Your updated ratio

Then start a new post for the next month!

**When linking your reviews, please link only to the book(s) here at GoodReads. At this time, linking to a personal blog is not allowed. Thank you!

First one completed for the month and it was pretty good for literary fiction (which I often don't understand!).

Kristie | 3595 comments Nice, Karen. I haven't finished any yet, but I added A Million Things by Emily Spurr A Million Things. This is the Australian publication. The US publication is August 24th through Berkley, which worked with my schedule, but Berkley never accepts my requests. So, I got this one through Text Publishing as a read now, but it publishes March 30th.

I am working through a couple of my NetGalleys now. Hopefully, I will have some reviews soon.

This one published in February, so I'm a little behind again. This always seems to be a busy time of year for me with publications. I have two that publish today that I'm working on too.

The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth review
which is my least favourite of Hepworth's books, (but I have really loved her novels). It was entirely readable and I still enjoyed it, but she just went a bit commercial with it rather than really delving into characters and family dynamics like she usually does

Vicki Willis | 496 comments My Netgalley has virtually grounded to a halt. I should have DNF'd it, but I feel obligated to finish.
Deadly Waters by Dot Hutchison Deadly Waters
is one of the worst books I have ever read. I have been reading it for a month and am at 75%.
I can't believe this is the same author that wrote the other books.
I can't stand this book. But know I have to finish it.

Did anyone else read it and like it? I am so curious

Yeah... I was disappointed in that one. I thought her other work was SO much better. I gave it 3 stars, but I was probably being generous. My review was not positive. I read some other reviews that thought it was too man-hating and I can certainly agree with that.

Yeah it's the same for me! I requested and received the same amount of new titles as I've read in March, so I still have the same amount of books to read :P

Kristie | 3595 comments I added one read, but read 3, so overall a good month for me. However, I did fall behind a little. I have one book that published on March 9th that I am just wrapping up today and two that publish April 6th that I haven't started yet.
