Kristie | 5929 comments Our winning theme for April is rain or rain showers on the cover. Please nominate a book that fits the theme and that you would like to read and discuss with the group here.

* Our rules for general nominations also apply to this thread.

Sorry, Tracy. This is second in a series so not allowed. Would you like to nominate something else?

Kristie | 5929 comments This was a hard theme for me. The first book I thought of was The Guest List, which we just read recently so it's not eligible. I finally came up with one though. I'll nominate Mr Mercedes.

Mr Mercedes (Bill Hodges Trilogy, #1) by Stephen King

Tracy (tracylemos) | 276 comments Hi Kristie, I would like to nominate The Orphan's Tale by Pam Jen off. There is an edition that has a girl walking next to the train with an umbrella and it's raining. I'm sorry that I don't have the capability of posting a link to that cover but it does exist. If that's not a problem, I'd like to make that my nomination. If it drives you crazy let me know and I'll find something else!

Kristie | 5929 comments Hi Tracy, I found the cover, but she is walking in snow, not rain. Since the theme nominated was specifically rain due to the "April showers" saying, I feel like it doesn't quite fit.

Tracy (tracylemos) | 276 comments OK Kristie!! No problem. I appreciate you taking the time to find it. I didn't see the snow. Let me try again!

message 14: by Ananya (new)

Ananya Will Phantom limbs by Paula Garner fit in this theme? If so I would like to nominate that.
