Taipan Academy Of Dark Magic discussion

Samantha came in here with Kelroy. "It's so quiet and peaceful", she whispered to him. She looked around in awe. "This is awesome", She sat down and started drawing.

((Ach! I'm so sorry for never responding.))

Kelroy sat down next to Samantha. And got up again so suddenly that his chair toppeled over, breaking the peaceful silence of the library. "Whoops. Sorry!" He cleared his throat. "I need to grab a book. Uh, I hate just sitting around doing nothing. I mean, unless you wanna talk? Are you able to do that while drawing?" Kelroy was rambling in a high-pitched voice because the loud noise of his chair had spooked him. He wasn't a fan of loud noises. "S-sorry for r-rambling. Loud noises tend to make me do that."

Samantha smiled as she nodded, "I can talk while drawing", she said to him as she laughed softly when he fell off the chair. "Sorry," she said but she was still smiling from her laughing. She was trying not laugh anymore.

"That's ok." Kelroy gave a chuckle before righting his chair and sitting back down. "So uhhhhhh..." He had no idea what to ask about. But maybe he could tell Samantha a little about himself. "I don't know what's ok to ask you about, I know that a lot of people value their privacy. I can tell you a little about me and then you could tell me a little more about yourself? I mean, besides what we said earlier. If you want?" Kelroy started chewing on his nails. Up until right now, he had been doing pretty good. It made him sad that he was gnawing them to stubs again.

"You can ask me, I don't mind", Samantha said to him. she was done drawing and put the book back in her bag. "Are you okay?", she asked him when she saw that he was biting his nails.

Kelroy pulled his nails out of his mouth. "Yeah. Sorry. Nervous habit. I do it....a lot. More than I should. And I've tried everything to stop it." He sighed and scrunched up his nose. Kelroy felt near tears. "Errrr....sorry. My nail chewing can be a sensitive topic for me sometimes." He glared at his hands before quickly changing the topic. "Do you have any pets?"

Sam smiles and nods, "I don't have any pets and I know how that can be", she says as she bit her lip. A habit of hers.

"Oh. Well, I have an emotional support dog named Amiah. She's sooooo cute and sweet and adorable and beautiful and......I love to rant about her." Kelroy blushed in embarassment. "Those that I love....I can't not talk about them. Especially Amiah. She's such a sweetheart." Kelroy gave a crooked smile. "If you ever want to get a pet, let me know! I can help you find one. Then again, I'd probably end up taking any animal I see with me!" He laughed, something he hadn't done for two weeks....since his boyfriend visited! That's right! His boyfriend was coming over today! "Ah, sh*t" he mumbled. "So.....I forgot but my boyfriend is visiting later today. When he comes, do you want to meet him?"

((I'm gonna ask for permission to rp his bf real quick. That is, if Samantha wants to meet him.))

Samantha nods as she smiles at how happy he was. Sam was bouncing her leg.

Kelroy beamed, both at the fact his boyfriend was coming and that Samantha wanted to meet him! Wow! He thought. "Well, why don't you tell me some more about yourself? While we wait? Connor will be able to find us here when he comes. I seriously don't know how he does it...."

"Okay, something me", she says to herself. "Uh...", she never was able to tell others about herself because she was always closed off. "About me?" she asked she was new to the friend thing so she didn't know what to do. "What do I talk about?"

"Well....how about you tell me some of your favorites? That's always a good place to start." Kelroy knew this from experience. When he had gotten his first friend, he hadn't known what to talk about either. So, his friend had told Kelroy that favorites were a great thing to talk about first. Kelroy remembered exactly what his friend had said: Favorites are something easy and usually not too personal.

"Okay", she said as she was thinking for a moment. "My favorite food is BBQ", she says as she smiled at the thought of it. "Color is Purple and Black", she says, "The colors just match", she says as she looked around.

Kelroy nodded. "Any other favorites? Like maybe a book, or....I don't know. Or I could tell you some of my favorites? It's up to you. One question, though. Does smoked salmon count as BBQ? Do you know?"

"Smoked salmon does NOT count as BBQ," she says as she smiled at him, "Book? I don't know" she looks at her drawing, "Favorite artist is van gogh"

Kelroy nodded. "Yeah, Van Gogh is a really great artist. I don't really have a favorite artist, though. Oh, and by the way, the reason I asked about the smoked salmon is because that's my favorite food." Well, my thoughts are all jumbled up, he thought. Should've talked about the salmon before Van Gogh.....

Samantha laughed as she looked at her watch, "Oh, I should go", she says as she grabbed her bag and stood up. "My dorms ready," she says as she began walking towards the library exit.

((That is such a good idea, they'll discover they have a dorm together!!! Eeek!!!))

Kelroy looks at Samantha for a moment, processing. "Oh! My dorm is probably ready, too....." He started walking by her side. "Can I go with you? I know I can't go in your dorm, but I want to see where you are. You know, for if we wanna go on a.....playdate." Kelroy couldn't find a better word, and flushes bright red.

((So, to the dorms? Also, is it ok if Kelroy's boyfriend is there waiting for him? Outside because he's not allowed inside, I mean....))

Samantha smiled, "Sure, let's go", she let him go first as she directed him to where her dorm was. "So, boyfriend?", she says as she adjusted her bag on her shoulder and fiddling with her hands as they were walking to the dorm.

"Uh, yeah." Kelroy answered back. "We've been together for two years now. He's....I can't explain it. But it's like he's my soulmate. Even though I don't have a soulbond." Kelroy chuckled, than thought, but maybe I do...... He scrunched up his nose in thought. "Ok, this is going to sound crazy, but what if we do have soulbonds? We just don't know that we do and it's an instinct when we meet out true love." He looked to Samantha, wanting her opinion on the matter.

((I'm going to be pretty busy, so I probably won't post again until tonight or tomorrow.))

"I pretty sure, I won't ever find that person ever again", she said as she shrugged at him. "I had my soulmate but she died," she says as she took a ring out from under her shirt, the ring was on a chain. "We were soulmates, but what happens if they die?"

Kelroy stops. His eyes well up. He looks down. "That's.....horrible. I don't know what I would do without...." He sighs. "Without Connor. He's always been there for me, at least when he can be." Kelroy blinks rapidly, trying to get rid of his tears. "I don't know. People always talk or theorize or whatever about soulmates, but I've never heard a single person bring up d-death. Even the idea of it."
