I never thought I'd say this but...

1) Jon is actually looking out for the kids, more than can be said about Kate, who presumably wants the show to continue.
2) Jon just wants to piss Kate off.
According to my mother, who used to watch the show a lot but not necessarily religiously, Kate "forced" Jon to quit his day job in order to help with the kids and the show, and he didn't really like this. I've seen the show and I think Kate wants it to continue because it's making her a star, and giving her a lot of money, but I agree with others who say that it's just become a trainwreck and for the safety and mental well-being of the children, it should be stopped.
Let Jon and Kate have their own fashion lines and television shows, but leave the kids at home!

edit: I've never seen the show, either.
edit #2: Someday those kids will grow up, and they're going to have some interesting, ahem, perspectives.
Someone should have stepped in a long time ago, when both Jon and Kate went from being anonymous to becoming two egomaniacs.
Frankly, they never should have allowed this to happen, to themselves or to their kids. They're to blame for the dysfunction and the inevitable breakup of their marriage, but I also blame the show's producers for being such vultures and trying to capitalize on a very difficult situation.
On a side note, Kate Goselin was the keynote speaker last week or so for the Southern Women's Convention, held here locally. She did not receive a very warm or welcome reception, but Southern women around here are too genteel to call her out for what she is: a sleazy opportunist.

I think she already guest-hosted the View, and bombed.

Hmmmm.... just befuddled. (That's my new word of the day.)

The Poster Vagina: It's Not A Clown Car, comes to mind.

Angie - "white enough" ... isn't that just horrible? But, sadly there is probably some truth to it. They are incredibly cute kids, but it just breaks my heart that they are in the middle of this weird, egomaniacal tug-of-war between parents. Jon & Kate better start savings for them, not for college but for therapy.
I'm just one of those bizarre people who doesn't watch most of the reality shows (except So You Think You Can Dance), because they just disturb me. My faith in humanity is often eroded by watching them, so I prefer to dwell in ignorance that there are so many people out there who love all the double-crossing and backstabbing. Is this all Jerry Springer's fault? :\

sandra bullock is really not that pretty. hot bod, cute and fun but upon closer inspection while watching The Proposal i realized that she is just not that pretty. that is all

Maybe it's the Ed Hardy t-shirts?

I've always thought she looks somewhat manly. My wife disagrees, of course, but I stick to my opinion.

I think Jon Gosselin is attractive and it has nothing to do with him being "white enough." He's just cute.

I think we did. I'm also with Kevin on thinking that she's one of those celebrities who comes off as "real" and thus somebody who would be fun to hang out with. Most of the interviews I've seen her in have been funnier than her movies.

I saw her interview with Barbara Walters, and she turned the tables on Barbara and asked her where she saw herself in ten years. Ha!
I am no expert on hotness, but I think she's cute, and that she looked beautiful at the Oscars.

I guess that really doesn't fit in with this discussion. Okay. Sorry.

Yes, she is, in her accomplishments. She got sick of the romantic comedies they kept putting her in, and went and did her own stuff, which is cool.
Where IS Meg Ryan these days, anyways?
Ew. Nobody meant for it to go there. Now I'm thinking about Meg Ryan having icky, graphic sex with Mark Ruffalo in that deeply uncomfortable thriller from about 8 years ago.

Back on topic, Jon Gosselin is yucky. I'm embarrassed to wear my Ed Hardy flip flops because of him.

Speaking of Jon Gosselin, the famewhore Kate is now on DWTS. Practice 8 hours a day, and more, I see she really wants to spend time with her kids.
I think that there should be a new service provided to Hollywood stars. I'd move out there and charge them hundreds of dollars by the hour to consult when they don't need any more plastic surgery.

I just try to tune out the announcer guy and his lame pleasantries.

Cool! I like the idea of that.
And it is probably even better than going over to Front Range Community College because I'm sure these people are much more gorgeous than your average Fort Collinser.

And I've never seen the show, so keep in mind that I'm totally judging Kate by what I know glancing through Star and US Weekly in the checkout line at the grocery.
