Hi Carolien, quite an African focus. I am puzzled about your choices for 9. Am I missing something with the names or did I misunderstand the guideline? Both authors' name or surname fall short of the ten letter requirement.

You are right, Wayne! It's called "do not transfer information in a hurry from a spreadsheet" syndrome. Thanks for picking it up.

The books are mostly from planned group reads (six of them) or my female African author challenge (four of them). I try to make books do multiple purposes across challenges and group reads where possible!

Similar things have happened to me in the past Carolien., as "they" say. "it happens".

I am trying to do the same thing thing reading the same book across challenges, but in the beginning, I try to read as many different books as possible. I do reserve the for myself the right to make a few adjustments as the deadline become ominously near.

Your inter-library loan system works! I have long ago given up on it in Joburg. Easier to stop at a library when I am in the vicinity and check what they have.

message 17: by Wayne (new)

Wayne Jordaan | 825 comments Yes, it took a while to get going after the re-opening, but I fear we might be in for a bit of deprivation again (keeping my fingers crossed). Here, loans only happens between libraries in different municipalities, so I also go around to different libraries in the Mossel Bay district. Western Cape has a fairly accurate online catalogue, so sometimes my visits are planned. However, I cannot resist checking out libraries and book shops, however small, so if I see the sign, and I have time, I am in there.

Despite our insane 3rd wave, our libraries seem to be open. I have enough books to keep me going for a while at least.
