David | 1 comments Can anyone suggest a good title that features the following:

1) Setting in far future (i.e. AD10,000++), on planet earth
2) Main characters are homo sapiens
3) We have not colonized any planets or reached outer space in any significant way
4) Alien life forms have still not been detected

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

First thing that comes to mind is Cage of Souls by Adrian Tchaikovsky.

And IIRC, Feersum Endjinn by Iain M. Banks fits that description, as well.

Leticia (leticiatoraci) Foundation or The Robots of Dawn by Isaac Asimov,? Or The City and the Stars by Arthur C. Clarke

Perhaps Inheritors of Earth? (Not sure if this had aliens or not, I read and liked it but don't remember the plot so well now.

There Will Be Time, Poul Anderson. It doesn’t fit exactly but there is time travel to a far future.
