what are some of the best books to get out of reading slumps?

message 2: by Hailey (new)

Hailey (haileyythereader) i think re-reads are good for reading slumps and also books that are short and easy to follow (not like high fantasy) i recommend everything, everything, rip eliza hart, the selection and the hunger games!!

Yes! Rereads help I think, I haven’t really gotten into a reading sun before but I think if I did a reread would help

Nora I absolutely agree. It helps me to reread a favorite of which I know it's fast paced. Recently the Renegades series helped me:)

The Renegades got me out of a reading slump also TMI and TID Which I totally recommend. I feel like if I don't have a lot of school work and work going on I can get out of a reading slump faster and enjoy my books instead of school rushing us to return our books and rushing us for work.

BiBookDemon I also agree with the re-reading! I was just in a terrible reading slump (about 4 months) and now I'm re-reading City of Bones. My passion for books has been rekindled! And I just wanna say, it's really nice that I'm not the only one who has reading slumps. :) (I thought I was and it sucked...)

BiBookDemon @rain The Infernal Devices. At least, I think so.... (I'm new to book abbreviations)

BiBookDemon P.S. Sorry, I know that the comment wasn't meant for me, just wanted to try and help out. :)

TMI stands for The Mortal Instruments, The Maze Runner is TMR:)

message 14: by Nora (new)

Nora The Shatter Me series is also absolutely perfect! It has short chapters, which makes it feel like you're flying through the book, the books themselves are short, and the story is incredibly fast paced!!

Hailey (haileyythereader) also multi-media books that have pictures and stuff are great cause they’re short and fun to read!! Breakout, Everything, Everything, and Illumanae are great!!

Milica DIY | 522 comments I have never had one, but I think a simple and short book would work the best for that, just so you don't feel overwhelmed.
