Again, you can choose to participate competitively or non-competitively. Either way, I will keep track of your points, but if you participate non-competitively I will keep your total private and message it to you only. If you choose to participate competitively, I'll post your total with everyone else's on the day after the readathon ends.
Last time we did a readathon, I wasn't super specific about how to post your progress, and unfortunately since everyone updated in a different manner it was hard to keep an accurate count of everyone's points. So this tine, I need y'all to read over this carefully and let me know if you have any questions about how to post.
You don't need to update your progress daily. Please just post when you finish a book. So for instance, if I read five books during the readathon period, I would post the title and page count of each one as I finished.
The only time you post your progress for an unfinished book is on the last day of the readathon. Let's say I was 200 pages into a sixth book on the final day-I would come to this thread and post that I was 200 pages into it. That way you can get credit for all the reading you do during the readathon, even if you don't finish a book. :)
Also, please don't post what you read after midnight on Saturday the 10th. There may be a day or two delay between when the readathon ends and I post the results, but that doesn't mean to keep posting about your reading after the deadline. (I do understand if you can't come online on the last day or if you forget to and need to post it later. I just mean don't add books you finish after the deadline to this thread).
