Let's talk about the start of the book here! How is everyone liking it so far?

Ok so I'm definitely curious about what happened with Alice and Nick's marriage. It's weird how much Alice has changed in 10 years; it's like she doesn't even know herself. I'd like to think that I'm basically the same person I was 10 years ago (other than now being a wife and a mother), but maybe I'm wrong lol. Does marriage and parenthood really change a person THAT much? I dunno. I like that the book has that Liane Moriarty humor mixed in with the serious stuff. And again, the whole mystery carrying us through has me intrigued! I'm looking forward to seeing how it pans out.

Jennifer | 22 comments It is very interesting to come around and lose 10 years of your life and be so clueless as to what is going on. Trying to compare her "real self" as to whom everybody is saying who she is today is mind boggling for sure. I'm basically the same person I was 10 years ago, even 20 years ago, however if you took me from that person to the whom I was 10 years prior to that, yes I had changed a lot. Curious to learn why her sister is such a bad person and why her and Nick are splitting up.

Mike | 56 comments I was feeling a bit of a reading slump the past couple of weeks, but this book has definitely pulled me out of that. I'm not even sure why. I mean, these first 10 chapters have basically covered what we already knew from the synopsis on the back of the book, but Liane Moriarty has still found a way to hook me into this story...and laugh out loud a few times! Interested to see where things go.

Purple Bookish Frog (Bonnie) (purplebookishfrog) | 5 comments I’m loving this book so far. Can’t wait to find out what on earth has been going on between Nick and Alice to cause such a big divide between the two of them.

Loving the humour which was a surprise as I wasn’t expecting humour within this storyline.

Love young Alice and Elizabeth’s relationship xx really warms my heart reading about them as young children xxx
