Avinash Matta (avinashmatta) | 8 comments Hello,

I launched a new eBook on Kindle this month. The story is about a teenager navigating challenging situations at home through the lockdown. It's Young Adult Humor and was shortlisted for Wattpad India Awards 2020.

Book blurb -
Arjun Saini Subramanyam is a confused teenager with a life full of conflicting choices. Even as he struggles to pick the better choice, life throws more challenges at him as the lockdown is announced. His paternal grandparents arrive from Amritsar and his maternal grandparents from Visakhapatnam. His Mom and Dad are busy working from home and board exams are indefinitely postponed.

Arjun has to single-handedly deal with his constantly brawling gang of grandparents and try to unite them. As family secrets are revealed, promises broken, lies exposed, Arjun experiences a roller coaster of emotions before finding stability and a zen-like wisdom on accepting life.

It's free to read on Kindle Unlimited. :)

Look forward to your feedback. Thanks!

The story was pretty quick, with many twists. Though it keeps you involved, it is something which you want to keep aside. The story builds up slowly and soon you realize that it is building up to something big. The book is not predictable. Most of the times, when a conflict was going on, readers was not able to anticipate the next page. It is something which can hold your breath.

It also brings to light certain key topics like loyalty, companionship and the battle to banish evil from our minds. The language of the books is modern, everyday and very simple English, which makes it easy for any reader to relate to.Near the end of the book, when actual conflict happens, it happens too quickly in a matter of a few pages. Though soon you see that there is more to come in the sequels.
