Jan Tell | 2 comments I'd like to start a discussion about books that you have read which gave you a connection to YNAB. YNAB gave me a whole new way of thinking about money but I have found that it also relates to so many other areas of life.
After joining this group and adding my books, I realized that I may be the only one in the room. My goal is to get some new ideas for books to read from the YNAB community of people.

John Sutton | 3 comments Hey Jan,

I read The Total Money Makeover way before I knew about YNAB. While YNAB took our budgeting to another level, there is still a lot of good information in The Total Money Makeover and the principles Dave Ramsey teaches.

Another book that I think can tie in is Essentialism by Greg Mckeown. When we think about spending and consumerism, we buy so much stuff and either don't know if we really need it or not, or we do not put the proper value on our things/purchases. This is a great book to help you know are you spending on.

Jan Tell | 2 comments Thank you, John! I haven't read either one of those so they are now on my reading list! I am also on the search for good books on investing.

John Sutton | 3 comments I think you will really like them both! In regards to investing books, Dave Ramsey will touch on it a little bit but not everyone agrees with what he says. I feel like investing is one of those subjects where you read a lot of different perspectives and then pick the one that works best for you.

John Sutton | 3 comments That being said I was actually recommended this book and I really liked the message in here and how simple it was.
