Hi, I need to better understand policy on this.
It's dominant in the comics industry and on Goodreads for volumes of a graphic novel series to be listed as Title Of Series, volume X: Subtitle.
Examples, just starting at the end of my shelves and working backwards:
https://www.goodreads.com/series/1448...
https://www.goodreads.com/series/1801...
https://www.goodreads.com/series/1784...
https://www.goodreads.com/series/1697...
But Rucka's Old Guard books keep being changed to a different pattern:
https://www.goodreads.com/series/3117...
I can see how people would assume they should try to standardize it that way, but that's not the cultural pattern for graphic novels.
Please advise about policy, right way to handle this, etc.
Thanks,
Skye

Series format for any book is Individual Volume Title (Series Title, #), so those Old Guard books are correct.

Graphic novels are different to novels, because the series name is nearly always part of the individual volume title too. Removing it is like changing Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone to "and the Philosopher's Stone".
