in the spoiler thread there's a link to an interesting article by Peter May about Entry Island, but it's a bit spoilery, so I'm not posting it here. It does explain how to pronounce Sime's name though which you won't run into in the book for a while

I'm liking the slow unfolding of the story and the characters seem fully realized

I'm very tempted to join this one as I really enjoy Peter May. I'll try to get to it towards the middle of the month.

I hope to find some time this month to read this one. This will be my first book by Peter May, but I've heard about this author before.

I’m about to start Entry Island, I’m looking forward to the mystery

Ok I wasn’t going to read this one as I’m catching up with my March reads. But now after reading some reviews I just ordered it.

I finished it, faster than I thought. It was my first book by this author and I didn't quite know what to expect. A few things surprised me. Personally, I do not like flashbacks and a very extensive second plot in my books (the one where we have a completely different set of characters, not strictly related to the main plot). And those were the things that didn't quite work for me. But overall it was a nice experience and I think I will read one of Peter May's other books someday.

I'd recommend this series by him The Lewis Trilogy: The Blackhouse, The Lewis Man, The Chessmen either bought as an omnibus or separately. I didn't like his series set in China

Lewis Trilogy is excellent. So are his standalones, especially Runaway. A terrific read

I’m up to chapter 11, the story is very slow to start with but I’m curious about how the dreams connect with the murder

I’m on chapter 10 and was wondering the same thing about the dreams and the ring....

I am so glad I joined this read! I am enjoying the historical parts and the current island madness. Compared to what they endured in Scotland...

What a great novel! You get mystery, history and a journey of love and loss.

I've finished! It was a very slow burn mystery and the ending and how it connected with the ancestors was very interesting. I feel it was 80% romance and 20% mystery.
