I checked. I did the right thing with merging his two profiles, and he now officially goes as Bob Arnot. Google is representing him under that name, his Wikipedia is in that name. Chances are people will look for Bob rather than Robert, but in his bio there should be his full name.

The first has the wrong title, but the correct cover. The second has the correct title, but the wrong cover. They are the same book.

That's not true. All editions should have the same author as primary author. When there is a different name on the cover, the cover name should be added as secondary author.
(Unless the cover name is completely included in the primary author name. For example: primary name is Joe X. Smith, cover has Joe Smith. Since Joe Smith is completely included in Joe X. Smith, there is no need to add Joe Smith as secondary author.)

This applies to all cases of different author names, whether official pseudonyms or just a variant spelling on the cover of some editions.

The book marked with ● is combined incorrectly with 1800-2008 group but, per cover, should be combined with 1800-2012 group.

I have been having the same problems over the last weeks with different website versions of my book page (between paperback and kindle and older versions). Are there major glitches in your software - are other authors having these problems as well?
I have a paperback version and a kindle version (and older cover versions) but they are not combined - I tried to do this but it is not possible. It says there are 12 reviews but online I can only find 10. And some of the 'marked as to-read' readers have disappeared (depending on what hour of the day it is). Please help.

Site is having some troubles. If I have, for example, 5 editions - Goodreads site is merging 3, and then error shows, then I merge again the rest of it, and then it's fine. So whoever does it besides me should watch out.
