The Harvest King
The Harvest King by Paula Quinn

Commander Caleb Desai, leader of the famed Warriors has three goals in life, to bring
God and rain back to the barren wasteland of Predaria, and to make the previous king’s
usurper and the man responsible for destroying his country pay. But when the new king
escapes his hands, Caleb is forced to take his daughter with him on his journey home
across the plains.
Dragging a pampered princess through the arid Plains of Predaria proves to be quite a
challenge, even for a man of Caleb’s patience. The woman doesn’t know of the dangers on the plains, of the Catchers, the fires, the baking sun. She’s foolish and spoiled, beautiful and innocent about God and His Son, and life without water. As she’s exposed to the dying world her father left in his wake, she lets Caleb teach her how to
live.

Princess Willomenia Odarre thinks Caleb is a savage. But when he hands over all her possessions for water to give the people of his village, she discovers he is so much more than just a warrior. He’s a child of Yahweh, an expert trader, and a planter with noble
dreams of healing the land and bringing greenery and life back to Predaria. It isn't until she gives him her heart and suffers the true terrors her father has inflicted upon his own people, that Willow finds out Caleb is much more than he let on.

And she is more than she ever thought she could be.

The title is, "As Far As The East Is From The West". https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08... I would certainly appreciate some additional reviews on this book. If you are interested in this subject, and would like to review the book, I will be happy to provide you with either a PDF copy or with an Amazon ebook copy. Thanks

Lewis (lewis_jenkins) | 1 comments I am new to Goodreads, and this is one of the groups I want to join. It meshes very well with a novel I wrote: Diary of a Robot.

Would you obey everyone who pushed your button and told you to do something? The prototype machine has no emotions but easily sees emotions displayed in the faces and body language of its co-workers. It struggles to find out what that all means so it can know better whom to trust as people order it around.

So, will it find out whom to trust about what? Will its annoying questions and opinions make some people angry enough either to destroy it, or to make it merely another machine slave?

The story also chronicles efforts to steal the technology, protect the technology, and figure out whether the machine is a blessing or a curse. Will Doctor Little, its inventor, perfect and protect his technology without compromising his principles? Will Doc’s carefully selected programmer, the young and too-talkative Gaitano Enver-Wilson, ever say things he has been afraid to say?

I don't know how to list my book on Goodreads, other than write this intro. Sorry. I'll swap books with anyone who has a reasonably priced book of their own. For sample chapters of mine, visit my website at https://lewisjenkins.com/books. NOTE: The latest version is not available on Amazon yet. It's available on Lulu.com as either a print book or an ebook.
