Another option is A Deadly Education for Morris Dancers if anyone wants to read it. I enjoyed it.

Also, I've got moist in text! If that task isn't already finished, could someone toss a note in The Widow Wear..."
Yikes, I'm basically scared to read some of those books I loved in pre-teen/teen years...I've changed, times have changed...I think many would be cringe worthy :(
I've been tempted to re-read Over Sea, Under Stone, I really loved this series, but again, a little nervous that it might not have held up as well as I remember...

My fav so far was Wild Sign, love this series and world, I just can't seem to get enough...so if you love werewolves and haven't read Patricia Briggs yet, this is for you!
My least favorite was Dumplin', Will was driving me insane, only got a 2.5 star.
My current read The Gene: An Intimate History, is absolutely fascinating me, such a great mix of history and science :)

Edit: I just read day 1 and 2 so I should get to my section tomorrow so I am good.
I'm enjoying working my way through the Psy-Changeling series and the Timber Creek K-9 series. I liked House of Earth and Blood more than I expected too.
I think my least favorite so far is also Dumplin'.

Killing Trail has been on my tbr for many years, I may have to get to it sooner :)

just dropping by to say that I listened to The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata based on your recommendation.
I liked it a lot and will check out more of her books for sure. :)

I also did another Doctor Who book Doctor Who: Touched By An Angel just for good old fashioned fun.
Sandy,
When you get a chance could you put Blackbird Knitting on your TT shelf. It actually looks like you put in on you uno2021 shelf by accident.
By the way, that cover is just amazing. LOL

Okay, there are a couple bingo squares we can use Blackboard knitting for. It’s epic it the best way.
I love the rabbit’s little mittens

Joyce, I've always been nervous to read books that are in the universe of tv shows that I've grown to see characters a certain way...sounds like I should maybe take the leap?

I just got them up. Thank you

Sorry - fixed!

I have another book I can read for rabbit on the cover, so move it wherever it's most needed

I'd be happy to go digging and reading.
EDIT: I have a book set in South Africa if this task is not claimed yet.
The South Africa task is one we could really use and off the top of my head Yeti in text is another.

It's perfect! :D

I can read a book with Yeti in the text

Also, I've found that Wizard's First Rule also has moist in the text!

All you Captains are doing a fabulous job putting the puzzle pieces together!
I'll have the Feminism MPG's covered I think.
I'm starting All the Single Ladies: Unmarried Women and the Rise of an Independent Nation as my next audiobook.
And I have God Save the Queens: The Essential History of Women in Hip-Hop waiting in my audio queue.

I really enjoyed The Empress of Salt and Fortune and hope you do as well. It is a wonderful and unique story. Also, the second has mammoths.

I haven't read as much as I would have wanted to the last few days due to general tiredness. I have now done the first day of Equal Rites, but I am unsure how to link the exact post so if one of you kind souls wouldn't mind sorting that out for me (or inform me how and I'll do it myself :P)

I went ahead and grabbed the link for you Day 1.
But how you link to a specific post is you right-click on the date/time stamp of the post (top right corner of post). And then insert a link the the cell of the spreadsheet link you normally do.

That was a really good book, I'd recommend it. especially to anyone going into the hard sciences as career.

BOM DQ assignments have been made for the June BOMs.
Lexi will be writing DQs for the Backroom BOM
Judith will be writing DQs for Firekeeper's Daughter
our team was not selected for Midnight Library or Mort. But overall no complaints, the BOM randomizer has been nicer to us than other teams.

Since I saw you are reading The Empress of Salt and Fortune, the second one is free as an ebook until May 28th (https://ebookclub.tor.com/) - When the Tiger Came Down the Mountain.
For everyone, I highly recommend both of them (but read in order).

Also, I saw that Jen is looking for a science book?
Since I don't know what you like science-wise, I am recommending a few that are absolute gems, and you don't need to have a PhD in order to grok them...

[book:The Empress of Salt and Fortune will be a reread for me. I decided on it not just for the charming rabbit on the cover, but because I recently bought When the Tiger Came Down the Mountain - right before it became the Tor freebie, lol. Oh well - I only spent $1.99 on it, and I'm happy to support the author.
I definitely support all the recommendations of The Empress of Salt and Fortune - it was great.

Those are great suggestions!! I'll take a peak at what my library has in the catalogue. Thank you!

If you have no idea what to vote for, my reccomendations (as in, I nominated) are Project Hail Mary and Lost in the Never Woods.

Lexi and I read Lab Girl a couple years ago and I still think about it, especially when listening to her talk about how labs work for careers in science. Also, I adore botany. And the field trip they took in the van complete with sidetrips. Much of this book is surprisingly funny and moving.
