– Books must be published by the first, be available internationally, and available in print form.
– After 24-48 hours, 8 books from each genre will be chosen at random from the selection, using a random generator online.
– Only ONE nomination per person (EITHER sci-fi OR fantasy).
– If books are part of a series, they must be the first, unless the group has already read the previous book(s). (you can see our previous group reads here)
– No authors nominating their own works.
– No self-published or ebook-only books — we want our BotM to be accessible to as many members as possible!

I believe it is. I got it a while back, and it seems well-received. We could still do a buddy read and/or discuss it under Self-Published Gems.

It looks like it may be out of print. Can I get a second opinion on that?

Eric wrote: "A Canticle for Leibowitz in sci-fi"

It looks like this may be out of print also. Does it look hard to get for anyone?

This one's ok in the UK - paperback and ebook readily available through the usual online retailers. The first link from goodreads if you go through the original post takes you to an old copy though, which might be why it looks out of print.

In Canada, it's available through Chapters, our national book store, and other online places.

I'm in the US- it seems to be easily available in print and audio, though it doesn't seem available in ebook.

Thanks for checking Shawnie, I didn't realise it was out of print! Amazon only has a few of the 1991 mass market paperback as cheap second hand.

I'll have a think about another book instead :)

In which case, I'll swap for Wanderers by Chuck Wendig for sci-fi instead, thanks!

message 38: by Johanne (new)

Johanne *the biblionaut* | 794 comments I mean, I can generally only get about half the books from in-country book sellers or libraries. After brexit it's a bit pricey to get books from the UK, which was my goto, since it's insane to get anything from the States. Not that I'm complaining, I don't have time to read all the BoTMs, and it helps me decide ;D

:D Same for me, Johanne, I haven't been getting to as many BotMs.

Thanks for checking. I've been sick this week and out of it.

Hope, I think we'd like to do Rhythm of War as a mod special, if you don't mind, so we can have two months.
