➡️The book read under any prompt must not be less than 150 pages to be count under the challenge.
➡️If any team, gets 3 or less than 3, letters/numbers on the path to the center, then on 15th of May, the Mods will give you a freebie letter/number which is on the route.

Frequently Asked Questions
1.Is the getting of letters/numbers required to get to the center of maze based on luck?
Yes, the spinning and getting of letters/numbers required to get to the center of maze is based on luck and probability. It's neither in our hands nor in yours. But, still if any team gets 3 or less than 3 letter/number on the path to the center, the Mods will give freebie letters/numbers.
2. Do the letters/numbers on the path to the center, have to be in order?
No, it's not necessary for the letters and numbers to be in order, you only need to get all the letters and numbers and you don't have to wait for your partner to complete.
3. How important is to get through the maze and reach the center?
It is important for earning team points, if your team achieves it, your team earns overall 10 points but if the team only manage to get 8 letters+numbers, then also you get 5 points for making it that far.
Individually, you earn points for completing the prompts and according to extra scoring criteria. The points earned individually will also be added to team points so it's more important.
4. Why are the prompts hidden until the start of the challenge? And why is it compulsory to complete the prompt before moving on to the next letter/number?
Normally, the challenges are conducted by giving choice to the participants as to what prompts they would like to complete for earning points, so this time, we have added this as an element of surprise. You will have to complete the prompt of the letter/number you got by spinning the wheel. This challenges you to explore more books, which might not pique your interest under normal exploration, and on choosing to complete the prompt, you might discover other interests.
5. Will the Mods be able to monitor what letter/number you get on spinning the wheel? And whether you truthfully follow the rules and complete the prompts of the letter/number you got?
No, there's no way of monitoring it. We, as Mods, trust that if you are participating, you will follow the rules and criteria of the challenge, and take it as fun, the game of spinning and getting a letter/number. There's no way of knowing whether you have deliberately chosen the letter/number on the path to earn points, and you can do that for sure, but it ruins the fun of the challenge for you as well as others, so it's a request you don't take this as a competition but rather a good game of reading and exploring.
6. If you get a letter/number on spinning the wheel, which you have already done, will you have to complete the prompt again?
No, if you get the same letter/number you have completed already, you can spin again for a different result and keep doing so until you get another letter/number.
7. Are there any limits to spinning the wheel?
No, there aren't any limits, only that once you spin and get a letter/number, you complete the prompt and then move on to spin again.
8. How will the winners be decided?
There will be two kind of winners: Winning team and winning participant.
Winning team will be the one with maximum points in the end of challenge, including points earned individually and team points.
Winning member will be the one with maximum number of points in the end of challenge irrespective of the team, including the points earned individually.
9. What if my team is unable to figure out the path to the center of the maze?
You can request the Mods for hints in your thread.
10. What if I am unable to find a book for a prompt?
There will be a thread where you can request fellow participants for recommendations for a certain prompt. If you still can't find it, the Mods will recommend.

Kavya wrote: "We can choose any path to reach the centre of the maze like that would depend on what number /alphabet we get while spinning the wheel right?... So what if we get alphabets /numbers that don't go. ..."
There's only one path to the centre and it depends on the probability of spinning the wheel and getting those specific letter or numbers. That's why if you get them all, you get 10 points and if you get 8 then you get 5 points, and if you get other letter/numbers, you complete those prompts which earn you points. There's a prompt corresponding to each letter and number in the maze.

Each letter and number which is in the maze has a prompt corresponding to it to complete and once you get a letter or a number, you complete the prompt. If we don't keep this compulsory, it's easier to keep spinning and getting specific letters and numbers. And no, we don't have any method of tracking what you got, it purely works on the mutual trust and honor. You can only have fun, and enjoy this challenge if you do it the right way and not cheat your way through. So we think, we don't need to keep track on that. And there are no limited spins, as long as you complete prompts.

meanwhile some other competitor get the wanted ones.. they get 10 points "for luck" and I don't..
and also I have this question like person A in a team gets a letter.. person B gets a number, yeah? Suppose on the path, the grid goes like : Number, Number, Letter, Number, Letter, Letter, Letter, Number... centre.
so does the person A has to wait till Person B gets his first two numbers correctly and complete them, and only then Person A gets to spin his wheel.. or they both can spin and get prompt and complete them regardless of the arrangement? like.. they don't have to wait for turns, but as they get the required letter/number to the centre.. they should've all of them regardless the order to be qualified as "the ones who made their way to the centre"
you get what I mean na?
Mia wrote: "isn't it solely on luck then? if I get (say I chose letters) a letter that's not in the path to centre.. and it keeps happening.. I complete the prompts corresponding to the letters and couldn't ma..."
Yes, it depends on luck, and probability.
No, you only need to get all the letters and numbers, it doesn't matter whether it's in order, you don't have to wait for your partner to complete. It's fine if you don't find it interesting enough, but yeah, that's what it is. We can consider making some changes if necessary, but what's the fun of completing prompts by choice? That's the way it's always done, so this time around we thought of keeping it differently, consider it like a game where you roll the dice but only that here you read, and there are 12 letters+ numbers so it works in a pair, but that's just for getting extra team points, you get points individually on completing prompts. So the main goal isn't to get to the centre, it's to read with the element of surprise. That's why the prompts are kept hidden, so when the challenge begins, you have to complete the prompt you get. Getting to the centre is an extra advantage, but only to team points.

Sign ups close on 30th April. Extra entries are allowed until 5th May, only if you sign up in pairs. If you have any queries, feel free to ask here.

Well, this seems to be a reasonable issue, so we'll do two things, we will unveil the prompts on 30th April instead of 1st May, ofc you don't know what letter/number you'll get on spinning but you can try to list out books according to prompts. Next, we can make a change in rule, if you spin and get a letter/number whose book isn't available, then you can skip it for the time being, and spin again. Whenever you get the book for the previous letter, you can complete that. I hope this rectifies this issue.
