Doris (webgeekstress) | 63 comments Who else likes to have music as a backdrop to your reading? I mostly have my beloved Classical KDFC playing as I read (or work or putter around the house or even nap).

It puts me in a bit of a quandary, because today they'll be airing the Metropolitan Opera broadcast of Strauss’s Die Frau ohne Schatten (The Woman without a Shadow). I've never heard this one, so I may need to take a few hours break from my reading.

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 1435 comments I like Ambience videos without music for reading.

I do have Ambience videos with music for stretching or my version of yoga --- I want to do some of that early this morning, and afternoon, and evening, to keep movement in and read with audio --- so I am going to move the Alexa dot into the bedroom within next few hours, put on the audio in there, and then put on the TV Roku with the Ambience videos to do 15-20 minutes stretching, but not yet :D

For the reading background, I like RAIN, Rain and Thunderstorms, Ocean, Windy Weather, (I avoid crickets and bird ones), Snow storms - I like the look of fire but the crackling from the fires on screen irritates me so I generally stay away from that.

My playlist folder for non-music Ambience on youtube is - here

Jamie | 412 comments I go for ambience sounds too. Or easy listening, non-verbal music once in a while.
