Thor Ragnarok is a 2017 film produced by Marvel Studios, and is the third installment in the Thor franchise (a fourth is currently filming.) It is about Thor fighting to save Asgard from his long-hidden sister Hela, and attempting to stop Ragnarok from occurring.
In contrast to the original two Thor movies... this is a lot different. If you prefer the Shakespearean, serious tones of the first two movies then you might not enjoy this. Thor Ragnarok is a comedy firstly, then a superhero movie, and then a drama. The story of Ragnarok (not the movies, but the comics and folklore,) is a whole lot darker than the MCU's take on it, and the shift from the first two films to this was very sudden, but welcomed.
The humor is top-notch and the events in the movie are just so bonkers that it works. If you heard "Big green man, a god , and a girl on a flying horse team up to beat another god and a huge fire demon".... you'd think it would be ridiculous. And it was, but in a good way.
I think Thor Ragnarok is a 9.5/10. Odin's death scene and the scene on the Bifrost with Thor and the lighting strike give me chills. I love this movie.
