Book Club+ MPC discussion

Hi everyone,

If you are joining us for The Phone Booth at the Edge of the World, Yui and Takeshi have developed a friendship during their travels to Bell Gardia. They did not listen to the radio very often, when they traveled to Bell Gardia, even though she had worked at a radio station. Takeshi listened to her shows when he could. He enjoyed her patience with people she spoke to over the airwaves. Yui liked to listen to Bossa Nova music and Takeshi liked Japanese rock.

The background music and conversation made the drives bearable, especially as they got closer to Bell Gardia and the phone booth. The music helps but it does not block out the memories of missing their loved ones.

Every trip to Bell Gardia is a step closer to talking in the phone booth, will Yui and Takeshi make that courageous step? Will that courage lead to other changes in their lives?
