Booknblues | 12060 comments There are any number of books, which intrigue me on this list. I am going to have a hard time keeping my TBR down. There is this Why Peacocks?: An Unlikely Search for Meaning in the World's Most Magnificent Bird, for my love of quirky animal books, While Justice Sleeps by Stacey Abrams, need I say more, and while we are talking politics there is this The Cave Dwellers and then a AAPI Swimming Back to Trout River and for historical fiction fans with a twist Light Perpetual: A Novel

I really love to read that kind of book. It is one of my true book quirks.

My parents have had peafowl for about 40 years, but he hasn't had peahens in many years--the chicks go much farther from their mothers than chicken chicks do so if you don't have the right netting they get out and get eaten. Plus he doesn't want to bother with giving or selling the chicks, etc. He has more than one type as well, such as pure white and golden (the latter isn't all one coulour, but mostly gold)

Anyway, I just sent him the book name, title and a photo of the bookcover. I have no idea if he'll buy it or not.

Theresa | 15525 comments I already have the Stacey Abrams on preorder in ebook. Adding The Lost Boys of Montauk which is a place I have visited and no full time residents and summer visitors.

I also added The Lost Boys, my kind of book

Booknblues | 12060 comments The Lost Boys is one which I added to my wish list as well. I put 10 of the 17 on my wishlist and 2 of those were on it already.

I thought I might have preordered the Stacey Abrams, but I hadn't.

Light Perpetual: A Novel sounds so good that I had trouble not preordering it immediately. Reviews are mixed between 3, 4, & 5 stars, so I am holding off.
