What a great idea! I'd like to be included and would love to invite authors to our monthly event at:
https://www.andrewsweetbooks.com/meet...

Also happy to link back of course!

Blurb:
Every month, MtA takes a deep-dive into the writing process, author tips, and helpful tools for the beginning and advanced writer. Chuck and Justin explore the domain of storytelling with fellow writers at different stages of the author's journey. MtA is authors helping authors.

I'm Helen Claire Gould, and I run Fiction Fix Online (pre-pandemic it was Peterborough Fiction Fix (live and local and in a pub.) Once a month, usually on the first Sunday in the month, I get together with a friend, and together with 4 other authors we live-stream just over an hour of live fiction readings to our Facebook group The Finger on the Pulse. We go live at 4 pm prompt (UK time) till around 5.10 pm. Slots are 10 minutes long, and feature authors from anywhere in the world that the internet can reach. Work must be the author's own. We keep everyone together with Zoom, and we put out the details of where to get the books featured. The next day we post the Zoom video to my Helen Claire Gould YouTube channel, also with details of the books. We are a multi-genre platform for authors to share an extract from their fiction book, and we especially champion self- and independently-published authors, and even unpublished and unfinished work. It's about performance rather than getting feedback, though you may get some of that, and encouragement as well! Both authors and listeners can join The Finger on the Pulse, btw. If you're curious about what it looks and sounds like, here's a link to the most recent one, last week: https://youtu.be/4ZJq3qZR6NU. Enjoy, and welcome!

That's wonderful idea. Thanks for doing it! Probably the best page intro into my site is: https://www.theoriginofgod.com/groupc...

It speaks briefly about my book and motivations and has instant chat capabilities with me, and links to book and other links into my main page etc..... so please include this link. Thanks again! --Dennis

P.S. Please include this link as a separate link that jumps right to my social media section which has youtube and many other social medias in one spot: https://www.theoriginofgod.com/Main.h...

I don't promote myself personally much on the site, but if people are curious to know a little about me, here is a little blurb:

Dennis Gilmour was born in Tisdale, Saskatchewan, and graduated from the University of Alberta in 1991 with a B.Sc. in Pharmacy. While working on his book, "The Unveiling", he obtained a degree in computer programming, and combined both these work interests into a career producing pharmaceutical software used across North America.

Dennis is a Christoevolutionist. His faith is one that seeks to merge science with all of the spiritual concepts common to the God of the Bible.

When not writing, Dennis enjoys skiing in the hills of Whistler, reading, and pondering the ancient mysteries of life: who are we, where did we come from and what is the meaning of life? Dennis currently lives in Medicine Hat, Alberta and is working on his next sci-fi novel.

Donna Emerald (donnaemerald) Hello everyone. I've got an event planned, for next week, for my Donna Emerald YouTube channel, which has about 240 subs at the moment.
https://www.goodreads.com/event/show/...
I often discuss books on my livestreams, and recently started using Streamyard's online streaming service, which allows me to invite people onto my livestream. Soooooo......the event is to invite authors, as I'm celebrating a recent book launch myself, and would love to have an informal natter on YouTube with authors who have also just published something. Have a look at my profile page The Q Affaire by Donna Emerald , which has links to my website, and an example of what's on my channel, with a book reading posted there. I'm looking to make more fun livestreams about other people's writing, as well as my own stuff, and would love to hear about your books! If you think it sounds fun, check out my events, and invite yourself, or use the messaging tool, to be invited!

Chicken
Chicken by Sandeep Jayaram

A mind-bending tale. Sandeep Jayaram is an excellent writer. Every line is sharp and vivid. He plays with the language as effortlessly as a yak-butcher handles a chicken. Given my obsession with hip hop, his writing reminds me of a line that the Wu Tang Clan members use to describe themselves - `Witty, unpredictable, talent all natural.’

Hi Morag,
Just a quick reminder that the event with your author interview is taking place tomorrow, the 17th May, on my channel's livestream, at 4pm Irish time (IST). Just pop over to Donna Emerald channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5pJ... on YouTube, and you'll see it go live, then click the link I provide in chat, to join in and talk about your book. Looking forward to chatting to you there, and of course anyone else is welcome to ask questions, in chat. If anyone else is interested in an interview, on another show, point me to your writing, and we'll go from there.

Donna Emerald (donnaemerald) Ray wrote: "I will be looking to interview authors on my Thin End podcast and Blog. This is an interview I did with Samuel Shem, the acclaimed author of The House of God. http://www.thinend.show/e/dialogue-wit..." Sounds interesting, Ray. I liked your podcast, and thought the length of the interview you posted just right, to keep the listeners' attention. I wondered what platform you use to record the interviews? If I don't need apps or equipment I don't have I'd like it if you check out my book, and perhaps take a quick peek at my Donna Emerald YouTube channel, and see if you think I'd make a good guest. I've started doing podcasts myself, and can see how they present things in a different way, and reach a different audience, so I'd be most interested in that. I'm sick of promoting myself, having only done one interview to date, and could use someone intelligent interviewing me, for promoting my first book, "The Q Affaire", which you can get a flavour of on my Goodreads and Amazon pages. Thanks for posting your kind offer on this thread. What a good resource this is, for promotional networking The Q Affaire. I'm interviewing someone myself, tomorrow, on my show, via Streamyard, posting to YouTube.

Ray Noble (ray_noble) | 7 comments Dear Donna, I have now got the kindle version of your book, and I have also ordered a paperback (I really like the feel of a book) and I look forward to reading it. Give me a few days and I will get in touch and we can arrange to discuss it. Meanwhile, if you want to take a look at my novel It Wasn't Always Late Summer then please do, Best wishes, Ray.

message 28: by Donna (new)

Donna Emerald (donnaemerald) Well, thank you, Ray, for taking an interest in reading my book. I would have provided you with a free Kindle copy for review, but not to worry, as I've purchased your novel, "It Wasn't Always Late Summer", to even things up slightly, and I'm looking forward very much to reading it, having found out more about it on your Goodreads page, and seen that it appears to be very well written, from the brief glimpse I had. The glimpse was from the sample I downloaded, to whet my appetite for when the paperback arrives. I find the experience of a nice book in my hands, rather than a reading "device" a far more pleasant experience, as well. I have a feeling your book will have some very sad parts in it, but that's part of life, and good for us to read and think about, without avoiding reading about painful things. I'm so pleased you were nice enough to take an interest in my book, and I would very much appreciate any critique of it you care to give, or a discussion, if you feel it's a book you'd like to discuss on the podcast. If not, your feedback in comments would still be most welcome, and I'm thick skinned, so feel free to be as honest as you wish.

Donna, just started reading your book. You may not have realised that I write also on the nature of artificial intelligence and have recently had a paper published in the RUSI Journal. https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/... I am not sure if the article is readily available to view. I think we could have a really interesting discussion. Ray

Oh, my goodness. I didn't realise that AI was an area of interest, Ray. Great stuff. I think I'd have to pay to download the journal paper from that link, but I got access to it from ResearchGate. Thanks for that. I've gotten stuck into your podcasts, and love the one about Descartes, and the nature of consciousness, with the cockerel going crazy in the background. I'm glad you think we might have the ingredients for a good conversation there.

Gosh, you have been busy. Yes, we both thought the cockerel had something important to add :) That discussion led to the following paper https://aip.scitation.org/doi/10.1063...

message 32: by Donna (new)

Donna Emerald (donnaemerald) Thanks for the new link. Turns out the other article you linked me to is actually free, on the site you linked to, in case you are giving anyone else a link. I found the existance of the RUSI journal interesting, too, as I hadn't heard of it, yet it gets funding from all over the place, and of course, think tanks were a huge topic on some "Truther" YouTube channels, as researchers like myself realised there were strange things afoot, with narratives on some of the YouTube channels. Many scrambled to start learning about military style cyber psyops that fed into the narratives, wondering were "Patriots" being conditioned by a deliberate campaign, with higher up "handlers" responsible? We got an answer to that question, earlier this year, and it didn't come as a big surprise, to some who'd been watching the narratives and networks on Truther channels closely. Group psychology and "hive mind" ideas were something I latched onto, as being an important element in it, as important to conditioning channel subs, as working to keep them in a heightened emotional state was. I shall bookmark your link provided, and read it as soon as I've completed the AI paper, which I had to tear myself away from late last night.
