Aaron Brungard In the book "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelly, something terrible happens. A monster is created by a young man who fancies himself a scientist. This monster lives a horrible, lonely existence that drives it to hate Victor, and swear revenge. They go against one another, both making mistakes that worsen the situation. Who is more at fault, Victor, or the monster?

I think definitely victor. the creature is, well a creature, who has little to no knowledge of the world he was unnaturally thrown into. Frankenstein was fully aware that what he was doing would have major consequences, considering hes a doctor, supposedly smart. So ya basically im team the creature

Hugo Its a tough question because both are at fault. Yes, the monster's wish for a mate is understandable but after all the turmoil Victor went through having created the monster it is impossible to ask him to do it all over again.

samanta I believe that Victor is at fault. Yes, the monster did commit some unpardonable acts, but he did not know any better. I can only imagine waking up alone in an unfamiliar place where you have no one to guide, teach, or comfort you. Victor knew that by abandoning his creation, he would be creating a monster. From society's maltreatment to Victor’s failed responsibilities, the creature found no choice but to become corrupt.
