If you are joining us for The Phone Booth at the Edge of the World, Yui and Takeshi have become friends after meeting during their numerous journeys to Bell Guardia.
They have now found the courage to speak on the phone with each other. Takeshi said if he ever writes a story about this experience, he would call it "The Age of Immortality" Takeshi shared how dreams are very significant to him and his way of talking to his son now. On one of their trips they listened to a man speak about the son he lost. The son had perished along with his friends. The man was left behind to understand how wreckless young people could be with life and not ignoring danger. However, he realized that "life is a game of chance" and no matter how careful we are in life, we never know what can happen to us. He also felt strongly he forever remained a parent and that "we're still parents, even when our children are no longer here." Takeshi and Yui understood that feeling.
Can Yui and Takeshi's friendship continue through their pain? Will conversations with other people who have lost loved ones, help them cope with life or continue to be a reminder of their loss?
