By the way I have never heard of Space Opera. What genre would you classify it as, fantasy, sci-fi, something of it's own kind? Lol

Book - Lost Roads
Author - Jonathan Maberry
Date - 6/7/21
Rating - 5 Stars
Review - Book 2 in the Broken Lands Series which is an offshoot of the Rot & Ruin Series and Joe Ledger. Jonathan Maberry is my favorite author of all time and I will read anything of his regardless. He could write direction on the back of ketchup bottles and I would read it. His ability to write in several genres is what makes him outstanding. His zombie novels are the some of the best ones out there and this is what this series is about. The MC's from this series get together with the MC's from the Rot & Ruin series and it turns into an all out battle against the zombies, the Wild men, and the reapers. The zombie virus has mutated thanks to nature and a little help from some scientists in New Alamo. The kids put their life on the line to try and save everyone.

This is the third in the Odd Thomas series. Odd has taken refuge in a Benedictine Abbey that is a school for special children. He is staying there to recover from the troubles of the previous book. His stay proves to be beneficial as an evil presence is threatening the lives of the monks, nuns and children who reside there. A thrilling story and hopeful and bittersweet.
Where the Crawdads Sing-Delia Owens-6/25-💚💚💚💚💚
I read the rave reviews and knew that I had to read this book. However, if not for this challenge I probably would not have gotten to it by now. So many books on the TBR and so many Challenges!
I wish we could give 10 stars as a rating. This probably one of the most beautiful stories that I have had the pleasure to read in many years.
The character of Kya was poignant and sweet and so alive! The ending was a bit of a shock but understandable. Delia Owens in this debut novel showed that a non-fiction author can also be an outstanding fiction author. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read an entralling story.

&

both were four stars for me, thank you for the picks! I'm still hoping I'll get to

Thanks for the picks I only got one of the two from my shelf done but I also read your Bonus pick this month. Both the one of my dusty shelf and the bonus where 5 star reads!

Glad you enjoyed. I liked your bonus book so much I went and put the first one on my want to read list. You have pretty good taste in books.

For your bonus, you asked for more chick lit but I found this on your shelf and it looks so encouraging and uplifting.
