Jamie Barringer (Ravenmount) (ravenmount) | 555 comments I don't own either BOTM, this time, so I'm focusing on the June TBR book (The Sound of Waves, by Mishima) and the other List books I own or have checked out from the library. I would like to finish Tartt's The Goldfinch and Rushdie's Fury, and might try to get back to Don Quixote. My List stack has a few other options too, but my guess is that that is about all I will get to in June. Kitten season is getting up to full speed, and my kennels are filling up, so I'll be a bit distracted with raising kittens for the next few weeks at least. [I have 4 now (2 almost ready to find homes though) and am hoping to get in 4 new ones very soon. The latest pair of kiddos are Jeanette and Julien, named after the Une Vie characters.]

Amanda Dawn | 1679 comments Plans for the month:

1) TBR: The house of the Spirits
2) Botm: group portrait with lady
3) randomiser (WLs): belle du seigneur, and Indian summer
4) hard copy books I own that I'll hopefully bring to my parent's home with me travel laws permitting : a fine balance, 120 days of sodom, song of solomon
5) and some random audios: under fire, the absentee, the heather blazing

You're welcome Kristel:)

I am reading The Metamorphosis. I have had my own personal nightmare with cockroaches so my husband recommended this one. I had not read it before.

Happy reading

Zeejane I really enjoyed July's People, I hope you do too.

Gail (gailifer) | 2181 comments I will read both the BOTMs, and my TBR Cakes and Ale. I will probably also read a Random book, most likely Petals of Blood and a book for the Scary Bingo square; The Green Man. I am going to try and read two Saramago’s: The Double and Blindness. Only The Double is on the List though.
By the way: Old Masters, A Comedy is not making me laugh out loud...it is a very bitter, brutal, sarcastic comedy so far but I am only a quarter into it.

After this, you need to read The Passion According to G.H.. I get shivers just thinking about it. Like you, I have an irrational fear of cockroaches.

Didn't make me laugh either. I found it exactly the opposite.
