I'm in.

I actually finished it on Monday. No spoilers, but I enjoyed it and am continuing on in the series.

I've read a fair amount of Simon R. Green over the years, but primarily his urban fantasy stuff -- the Night Side books and the Eddie Drood books, for the most part -- so this was a nice change of pace.

Great book. Just finished it

Oh, one thought I did have: Am I the only one who was getting serious Shrek vibes from the opening bit when Rupert was hunting the dragon and rescuing(?) the princess?

Heh. True. But technically Shrek came later ;)
I love the humor in the book though right from those opening scenes.

Yep, it felt like it prefigured what happened in the movie.

This book is great. It reminds me of older styles of fantasy. On on another note. The poll is open.
