Did everyone have a good holiday weekend? Hope the week is going well for you!

What is everyone reading this week?

My holiday weekend was great as I managed to finish two books - The Raven King and Be Dazzled. I'm still partly stuck in The Raven King. Have you ever read a book like that? Where it just seems to seep into your soul and you keep thinking about it? Those are rarer books for me but when I find them, it's hard to shake them lose. Not that I'm complaining!

This week, I'm working on The Return of the Shadow, some manga, and hopefully make some progress on Legendborn.

Tell us your current reads!

The Raven King (The Raven Cycle, #4) by Maggie Stiefvater Be Dazzled by Ryan La Sala The Return of the Shadow The History of The Lord of the Rings, Part One (The History of Middle-Earth, #6) by J.R.R. Tolkien Perfect World, Vol. 1 by Rie Aruga Legendborn (Legendborn, #1) by Tracy Deonn

Ashley (morwesong) | 59 comments I did that thing where I keep finding shiny new books to read, so I am in the middle of a bunch. I am reading an ARC called The Last Beautiful Girl, Christopher Eccleston's (AKA the Ninth Doctor) memoir I Love the Bones of You, and I just dove into Sandman after seeing some casting from the Netflix adaptation and getting excited. I am trying to resist the urge to read the book I just got in the mail today - Pure Invention: How Japan's Pop Culture Conquered the World - until I've finished at least one of the ones I am already working on.

The Last Beautiful Girl by Nina Laurin I Love the Bones of You My Life, My Family, My Father by Christopher Eccleston Preludes & Nocturnes (The Sandman, #1) by Neil Gaiman Pure Invention How Japan's Pop Culture Conquered the World by Matt Alt

This weekend, I will also start reading Boyfriend Material for the online bookclub. And there are soooo many new books out to tempt me.

Katie (my daughter) has been engrossed in these Maggie Stiefvater books for a few months now. Re-reading them. And VERY excited for the new one coming out because it is about one of her favorite characters.
Now I think I have to add this series to my list as well!

Suzanne (suzannesnowden) | 9 comments I finished the Red Queen series over the weekend. Wanted to get it read because I saw Victoria Aveyard on the Today Show and she mentioned it was going to be a tv series.
Now I'm reading The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune.
