Wow Robin you jumped right in! Planning challenges is one of the most fun things we do here. Feel free to check out other people's threads. I hope you enjoy it!

Sue K H (sky_bluez) | 3694 comments Welcome to the group and this challenge, Robin! You have some great choices. I loved True Grit. I read a Dorthy Sayers mystery as part of a woman's challenge and I really liked her writing. I've also read The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins and have been wanting to read more. If The Moonstone makes our revisit the shelf poll then I'll have to make time for it.

I'll be watching to see what you think of all of these. Have fun!

Thanks, I have read several by Wilkie Collins but The Woman in White is my favorite. Lord Peter Wimsey, the detective in Dorothy Sayers' mysteries, is my literary crush. Others adore Mr. Darcy or Jamie from Outlander, but I love how Lord Peter acts like a bumbling rich jerk while brilliantly outsmarting everyone, being a really decent human being, and keeping a sense of humor. I read the whole series years ago but decided to do a reread this year. I have forgotten all the mystery parts so they are like new books to me!

You are doing great. You might try Xingu, a really good short story for challenge #10. Enjoy!
