Personality: Cobie is a very emotionally tough individual, and she is hard around the edges and not easy to speak to. Sarcastic and witty, she likes to poke fun at people and crack dry jokes. For the most part she does not care how her words or actions impact others, especially anyone of a higher caste, and hardly ever minces her words; she won’t put up with hardcore bullying and abuse, though, and draws the line there. But as she was chosen in the Selection as is there with a mission, she has to mince her words and have a filter, which as challenging as it for her, she knows she needs to as she lives in the northern rebels’ cause with her whole heart.
Since she was a small child, Cobie has always had an explosive temper, and she often looses her cool in situations where people start arguing with her, which is one of her larger weaknesses. Despite all of this and a hard, stony exterior to most people, she has a very soft spot for her family and anyone downtrodden by the government or anyone who wants to push people around for no good reason. Her family and the Northern Rebels mean the world to her, and she would gladly and willingly sacrifice her life if it meant her family gets to live or the cause gets what they need.
She disagrees withe he casualty numbers of the Southern Rebels even though she is unafraid to kill someone if she absolutely has to, even though it will always be as a last resort; but if she is angry and wants revenge, she may kill and then regret it. She can be aggressive and violent. Skilled with shooting guns and hand to hand combat and using similar weaponry, she is tactical and smart. In terms of book intelligence/subjects typically taught in school such as math and science, however, she struggles with retaining the information, and patience is not her strong suit and never was, hence leading her to be a bit rash sometimes.
She is unafraid to steal from people if it helps others live, and will also exact revenge on those who hurt her twin sister and her loved ones--her mom and the rebels.
Even to others her age and of other castes, and even some in the rebels, she can bee harsh and unfriendly, and prefers being alone and for the most part finds people distrustful and suspicious, and would rather not engage in conversation with them. She likes to be active and hates waiting around and sitting and relaxing, thinking it all a waste of her time. She hates dressing up and dancing. It takes a very long time to earn Cobie’s trust.
Deep down, she’s kind of insecure, however, and yet also temperamental, stubborn, prideful, and kind of has an ego.

Headcannon/History: Cobie was born in Hudson to Treanna and Anden Johnson, as Caste 6. Her parents worked as housekeepers/servants to a wealthier family of 2s, and that was all that was expected of Cobie and Caledonia, as well. The twins began working at the same house for that family when they were seven, but Caledonia found herself bullied frequently by the family's two spoiled children. As much as Caledonia tried to ignore it, Cobie would have none of it, and when she was ten, eventually ended up pushing both of the kids into a pool in revenge and later, setting the curtains in their room on fire to avenge her sister's mistreatment, while framing one of the wealthy family's children.
However, one of the parents found out about what had happened, watching the security footage, and Cobie was whipped in the square for her disobedience and her family lost their jobs. Enraged with her, her father turned his ten year old daughter out to the streets to fend for herself against her mother's wishes, and Cobie technically became an untouchable.
It was in this time that her father began mistreating her mom and sister out of his job loss rage as they struggled to find a new one, and Cobie would peer in the house to check on both of them when everyone else was asleep, her rage growing each day. She had began to steal and fend for herself to keep herself alive, living in an alleyway and hiding out, enraged at the royal family and the 2s and her own father. When she was twelve, she was caught stealing food for herself and her family--she had secretly dropped off what she could to help her mom and Cala--and was almost whipped again before someone shot the soldiers and grabbed her, knocking her out and taking her with them.
Cobie woke up deep in the woods to find a group of people who claimed to be Northern Rebels, who said they'd been keeping an eye on her for awhile now, and had determined to save her and told them of their plans and dislike of the way the monarchy ran things. Hot-headed and angry, she asked to join them, and the leader at the time agreed to take her under his or her wing and train her, and she cut a deal with the rebels to rescue her mother and sister from her dad.
So the Northern Rebels attacked her home the next night and saved her mom and sister, taking them with them, but the deal required Cobie to do whatever they asked. She saw no reason to refuse, and since then has helped them and started to believe more fully in their ideologies. The only reason she prefers them to the Southern rebels is because when she is clear-headed she knows enough about the fact she doesn't want mass casualties, or to take the throne.
While she is furious at the royals, she also does not want them all murdered in cold blood, but wouldn't mind revenge and a better system, even if it does come at the cost of deaths of people who in her mind are terrible. She became close to the Northern rebel leader and she saw him as more of a father figure than her actual father, who she knows was a drunk and a lower caste because he never could find work, and eventually died of heart failure when she was fifteen. And while she hated him for what he'd done, she blamed the system for what happened.
When Cobie was nineteen, the rebels asked her to enter the Selection. Absolutely horrified, she refused, but then remembered she'd agreed to help them--so she knows that maybe she was being manipulated, but at this point she agreed fully with them, and the leaders probably would not have forced her if she had declined-- and she did want the inside information, and so she agreed, and found ways around the system to lie about her caste and enter as a 4, with a false surname and history. She is only there to find ways in, find intel that would help the Rebels, and to try and get close to the prince for more information, even if that means she has to set aside her tendencies for some revenge and sarcasm and pretend to fall in love with him, much to her disgust.

Personality: Katniss is probably one of the most cheerful people you will ever meet. She sees the good in almost every situation, and is practically a all of sunshine and optimism, which admittedly can annoy a lot of people around her. This is to say, she recognizes that bad things happen in life, but believes people can learn from them and that things will somehow, in some way, get better.
She is open and honest and hardworking and absolutely loves her caste as a 5, where she can follow in her parents' footsteps as a dancer. She understands that the caste system keeps people in line and believes whole-heartedly in the monarchy.
As a romantic, Katniss was thrilled when she was Selected, and dreams of marrying the prince for love, and the only thing that would make her slightly sad if she won is that she would leave her caste 5 behind.
Compassionate and kind, Katniss wants to make friends, as many as she can, but never attended school or had enough money for a tutor, so instead has two family friends who are like extended family to the Laughlin's. She still likes to talk and make friends with any new people; however, she doesn't always have the best luck because she can be so cheerful and eager to meet people it turns others away.
Katniss is sensitive, and when anyone does say something hurtful it does deeply offend her, but she is not afraid to stand up to that person and make her opinion and defense known, and will do it for others, whether or not she knows them. She's a total extravert and loves her younger sister and parents, but has a strained relationship with her older brother, and is frustrated with her parents, the one spot in life, her family, being a darker topic for her and one she can get down about.

Headcannon/History: Katniss was born in Carolina to her parents, who already had a son, Merrick, to caste 5. Both parents were dancers, and they hoped that their children would follow in that path. Their home is small, but not horribly uncomfortable, and Katniss grew up happy with it, never seeking more out of her life.
She showed an early interest in dance as she liked to watch her parents perform, while Merrick, her older brother by about 4 years, took more an interest in sculpting and painting. At first, he and his sister got along with him playing the protective older brother trope, but eventually Katniss annoyed him with her excessive chatter, following him everywhere, etc., and he snapped at her when she was twelve and told her she was annoying and that he didn't love her, also devastated because she had their parents' clear favor over him.
So they began to not talk unless they had to, and it was unfortunate true that their parents loved their daughter more than their son, and when they had Bella, Katniss's younger sister, they doted on her more than Merrick, too, leaving him even more jealous and angry.
The atmosphere is full of tension in the house when Merrick is around, and Katniss has died to get her parents to explain why they favor the girls over him, but they won't provide an explanation, and while Katniss desperately loves her brother even though h hurt her, and wants to be his friend again, he won't let her in, which hurts her.
Like her parents, she dances, and began to bee hired at parties and audition for professional dance shows, taking lessons all as a child, and is very good at what she does. She never had a relationship with anyone save for crushes, but desires one day to love someone, and eagerly entered her name in the Selection.
Katniss wants to repair her family's relationship and get to the bottom of why her parents have her brother as a least favorite child, but they act like they never know what she's talking about when she asks them, and Merrick won't speak to her almost at all and was glad when she left for the Selection, even though he personally believes she'll be gone and back home within a week.
Her parents really are jerks with favoritism, and her mom always wanted girls only because she never liked her own brothers, and she married Katniss's father just for extra income. They fight a lot, and Katniss has to deal with that, too, even though she retains a cheerful, hopeful outlook on life.

aster is incredibly sarcastic and has a bit of a sharp tongue. she doesn't care much for status, but that could just be because of how she grew up. she likes to have fun and appears extremely confident. she tends to joke around a bit and seems to be very open about how she feels. if she dislikes you, she'll tell you upfront. despite her sarcasm and very strong opinions, she's extremely kind and enjoys being around others. she's not the most social, but that doesn't mean she can't have friends. she can be quite competitive, especially when it comes to video games. she seems to lean more toward dark clothing than anything and while she doesn't usually wear girly things, she doesn't mind feminine clothing. well, as long as it isn't overly feminine. for example, she's not going to walk around wearing a white blouse and a pink skirt. it's just not her style. despite her pale complexion, the girl is strangely good at sports as well. she's extremely intelligent, which might sometimes make her honesty seem extremely brutal. most would describe her as blunt. even so, she does have some tact and isn't one that would really stab someone in the back. she's more of the type who'd stab you from the front. she shows her discontent about the selection process, even if she is a part of it herself. in her mind, she believes it would be better for the princes to pick someone they liked and marry. there's no dedication in a selection process. it's just a bunch of girls coming together and the prince picking the one he likes best. it doesn't seem like a very happy process to her, nor does it seem fair to the girls who were actually seriously pursuing him. after all, if he wasn't actually serious about the relationship, it only leads to heartbreak. she finds it cruel. she doesn't seem too excited or keen on playing to some prince's every whim to get him to like her either. she'll play nice, well, as nice as she's going to get, but she's not going to bend over backward for him. as stated before, she's not exactly fond of deceit, so she's clearly not a deceitful person. even so, she's quite mischievous. she enjoys pranks and stuff like that, though, that's a side only those who are close to her get to see. overall, she really just seems like a kid who's trying to make the best of her life and have fun. she can be serious and everything, it's just not how she enjoys spending her time. she seems lighthearted and carefree, but it's mainly just a way to cope, to escape. even when she's not serious, she can be extremely capable and resourceful. she likes anything that is warm, like jackets, hot chocolate, blankets and seems to value comfortability over anything else. she's definitely not the type who'd walk around wearing a corset. she'd probably walk around the palace with a blanket over her shoulders.

aster grew up in the fifth caste, due to her mother being a musician and performer. aster's father wasn't exactly the best. he was a caste eight, mentally unwell, and a bit of an addict, as well as an alcoholic. he wasn't really great for any of them and was often spending all of their money. he eventually put them into debt and even tried to sell off aster at some point. due to not being able to pay off the debt and pissing some guy off, he was killed, leaving aster and her mother with the debt. it was difficult for both of them financially and money was often a concern. a lot of the time, they weren't even sure if they could afford to eat. because of all of this, aster was forced to grow up too early. when she wasn't performing on the streets to earn money, she was working at other places and getting paid under the table. they couldn't afford to send her to school, so she just didn't bother with it. eventually, she heard about the selection. needing the money, she signed up. thankfully, she was considered and they didn't take her father's actions into account. she doesn't really seem to care if she wins or not, she just wants to survive and finally get out of debt. if she has to play this game the upper-class jerks want to play, then so be it. she's just tired of having to watch her mother throw away her dreams to provide for them and get out of this hole her father dug for them.

Occupation: Commissioner - it’s not a totally official job, but it’s the best approximation. She’s kind of like an inventor, but super wide-range. She can help design a movie CGI or design a facade for a building, and she loves creating new gadgets for factories and labs. Basically, she can be commissioned for any creative-design style job.

Looks: Tessa has long, wavy ash-blonde hair and piercing light-green eyes. They make it look like she’s analyzing everything - like she can take it apart with just her mind. Her skin is a natural golden, like a medium warm tan. She has faint, sparse freckles across her nose and cheekbones.
She isn’t very tall, just a bit above average height. Most of it comes from her proportionally long legs. Since her job is mostly designing and collaborating, Tessa isn’t that athletic - unless you count climbing flights of stairs to get to conferences that just had to be held on the top floor. However, she’s good with self-defense (not a specific martial art, she just started self-defense classes when she was 12) and has pretty great reflexes.

Dress Style: Tessa will wear anything that looks professional, but is still comfortable for her. She doesn’t like skirts. Straight-line pants and heeled boots are more her style. Because of her job, she usually wears something businesslike, but not super formal.
But since it’s the Selection, she does have to wear dresses. Her favorite style is the day dress with a shorter skirt and a solid bodice, preferably with a more mobile design, but she can pull off formal evening gowns. She just doesn’t like them as much as the simpler kind.
Since she’s almost always focused on some design, sketch or project, she usually ties her hair out of her face. Tight twisted buns and high ponytails are good enough for her to work with.
Makeup isn’t really Tessa’s thing. She likes eyeshadow and mascara, but mostly just wears them for conferences. She loves nail polish, but rarely has the time to get a manicure. Although she loves looking at fun patterns, she doesn’t get the chance to do them on herself and has to resort to plain colors.

Personality: Tessa is intelligent, but also very creative. She’s amazing with numbers and measurements. Give her a pencil and a sketchpad (although she almost always has one with her anyway) and she can design or calculate almost anything you throw at her.
Is she a genius? No. She just had a very good education and uses her brain a lot.
Despite her extensive intelligence and incredible logic, Tessa can be oblivious sometimes. She’s not as emotionally intelligent as she is numerically. She can lead conferences and sit through all kinds of board meetings. But social conversations aren’t really her thing.
She isn’t exactly awkward - she picks up on clues easily and is very observant. It’s just that she doesn't always know how to respond, espeically if the conversation is a) small talk/minute social, or b) personal and emotional.
Tessa is charismatic in her own way, and she likes meeting new people. Not really extroverted, but she loves sharing opinions and theories. Palace scheming isn't really her thing - she prefers simple, clear relationships.
When she’s tired of social stuff or has a (very rare) free moment, she likes reading and sketching; she really doesn’t stop with the academics.
She’s great at working under pressure and is very used to working hellish hours. She doesn’t have a bad temper, but she is fierce in any debate and can be intimidating if she tries. It’s a rare skill for her to use, but it works.
Also, Tessa is extremely stubborn. She almost never gives up and hates failing. She absolutely refuses to admit that she was wrong, which makes her a bit of a know-it-all sometimes.

History: Tessa is the only child of two university professors. As Threes, they were pretty wealthy and Tessa never really had to worry about money. However, since her parents were both high-placed scholars, they wanted her to do just as well.
Growing up, she had a very advanced education. She went to elite private schools, attending a grade ahead of her age. After finishing fourth grade, her parents homeschooled her.
They taught her how to debate - more importantly, how to win. They taught her advanced math and geometry, coding and language, music and speech. She had to learn everything they thought would help her be successful.
As a little girl, Tessa wanted to be an artist. She loved drawing and design. But artists were Fives - even though her family wasn’t elitist, she knew they would never let her go down a caste. So she learned to use her art for something else.
She’s just finished her senior year of high school and while her job technically started out as an internship, she was hired by multiple companies after they saw what she could do. Which is how she gained such a high position at such a young age. Her parents had been taking her into their own projects since she was younger, so she’s had a lot of exposure to jobs and industry already.
She didn’t really want to enter the Selection, since she was fine where she was, but her parents convinced her. She persuaded herself that statistically there wasn’t much of a chance that she would be drawn.
Which was true, but not altogether reliable.

Personality: Taja is on the quieter side and likes to be alone, painting and drawing and watching animals and nature.
Sensitive and patient, Taja is an ideal friend for someone if you want some loyal and who has your back. She is even tempered and relatively calm and it takes a lot to make her mad, but when she does get angry she tends to get this cold, almost dangerous voice that still manages to be softer, instead of exploding into a temper tantrum.
She does not have many friends, but the one she does have is loyal to, and she is the type of person who will be happy for her friends even if it is at her own expense. One of Tala's smaller weaknesses is an ability to challenge what she sees as wrong. She often critiques the caste system in her home, but would never dare do it publicly, unless she is riled up, but most of the time she thinks through decisions, but not always when she lets her heart lead and is so in over her head emotionally that she just goes with it.
So therefore sometimes she is very bold but in a quiet type of way, but that doesn't change the fact she prefers to be by herself or with a small group of people. She is not a huge large-group person and would rather people watch or sketch what she sees.

Headcanon/History: Taja was born to Alanna and Andrew Delarynne, in caste 4 in Allens. Both parents owned an art store, as their caste had business owners, and Taja found the art and paints fascinating from an early age. Her parents wanted her to run the business when she was older, and while Taja knows she has no other option and that she will so she can keep a steady job, she longs to be in a world where caste doesn't determine your job.
She wants to be an artist and is really good at it, and is frustrated by the fact she can never be professional with her art or really sell it for money. Nevertheless, she was always loyal to her family and they all get along save for the instances when Taja and her family fight about the caste system.
When Taja was sixteen she went out with a girl she was homeschooled with for a little while, until they decided to mutually break up when Taja was eighteen because she determined she wanted more time to focus on her painting and have free time, even as she was learning how to run a business, which she had been learning since she was maybe around ten years old in addition to some intellectual education. Headcanon/History: Vera Hollister was born to a family of gardeners who worked for a wealthier family of 2s. Her parents considered it scent work for a family of 7s, but Vera was never satisfied, and admittedly she had it rougher because she was allergic to pollen, which did make it hard considering she needed to start working as early as she could for the family to make more money. Both of her older siblings worked as gardeners as well, and the 2 family was so wealthy that they had a lot of gardens and outdoor lawn maintenance that always kept the Hollister busy.
However, Vera hit it off with the 2's son, only a year older than her, when she was seven, and despite the caste differences they became fast friends until his parents found out they were hanging out together on Vera's lunch breaks and separated them, giving a warning to the Hollisters that if they ever caught their son talking with Vera again besides giving her instructions on work, they would fire the whole family because, in their words, "they were a bunch of filthy sevens".
Vera was hurt by this, as was the family's son, and they kept meeting because they like to play with one another. Vera's parents knew about this and said nothing about making her stop, and instead of being scared that she would get them fired, told her that they were mad at the insults from the family and that as a result, they should make them pay.
So her parents had her get closer to the boy to begin to earn his trust more and steal money and small things the family wouldn't notice was gone.
It gave Vera a thrill to do this, and as she got older, began to dislike the boy, who became a corrupted as his parents. So they drew apart, but by that point, when Vera was about twelve, she was an expert at thieving, so she would stop stealing from the family and instead stole from people in the streets. She could never break into a building, but she was great at pretending to run into someone and act dazed and confused and so, so apologetic, only to swipe their wallet and take it home.
Due to this happening so often, the Hollister had more than most 7s had, and her parents indulged her wishes to always look nicer than a 7, as Vera loathed the hatred her caste received and wanted to marry up, if she could find a way to do that through paperwork. She began to buy makeup and get into the way she looked more and more, and appeared on the streets when she walked to work and back as maybe more of a five, or even carried herself with the haughty air of some 2s she knew of.
Her parents and siblings encouraged this, and they, like Vera, found it amusing to bowl people over and take things from them.
Vera never received a formal education, having no money for it, but after she began to steal more money, she began to teach herself some basic reading in online classes on a very old computer, the cheapest the family could buy.
Neither of her siblings ever moved out of their smaller, cramped home so that all of the income would go to the family, even though her older brother married and brought his wife to live with them, which Vera hated.
She was always trying to act older and more mature, and to come off as a higher caste, and now more than ever she wanted to escape her life. So when the Selection came up, she tried hard to get accepted, and while she is a seven, all the makeup up an clothes and hair tools she ought with stolen money made her a stand-out anyway, and she bribed the people at the office with some of that money to falsify her education level and accomplishments on her form.
She has the mind to do anything to win the Selection, even hurt the others. She doesn't care one whit about any of them, and honestly hardly about her parents and siblings as well. She doesn't even want fame, she just wants a luxurious life where she can marry someone handsome and have a ton of money...and, yes, she wants to make sure those who looked down on her would never do so again.

Vivien was always told by her parents that she would be destined for great things. So she took it to heart and now we have a little monster. It all really began when Vivien fell and hurt her head on a rock when she was ten and was told she'd have to take it easy growing up. Her parents babied her all the way up to the present. Whenever she was told to do work, she'd always say her head couldn't take it. In contrast to that, she'd go on extensive trips to other countries. Her younger sister, Lily, hated her for this. If Vivien could plan a two month long trip, she's definitely able to help around the house more. But Vivien left her little sister to do all the chores all by herself. And whenever the house needed to be tidied up, Vivien would always tell Lily her head just wasn't up for it. Her parents would quickly nurse her before leaving for work. If they came home late, Vivien would boss her sister around. Lily learned early on that if she didn't follow her orders, Vivien would complain to their parents on how awful Lily was not following her every whim.

During school, Vivien was the star of the show. Being the fastest runner she was always picked as the team leader when the school had a sports festival. She was nice to the people who were nice to her but she made a mental note to use them as an asset. Where people thought it was considerate of her to remember their name, she was figuring out ways to use them. Even the teachers were caught in her web. She always followed the teachers' instructions to a T and hardly got in trouble. If she did, she'd bully the teachers by digging up dirt or hurting them. As soon as she got into the game of breaking hearts, people realized she wasn't as amazing as everyone pictured her to be. But she made it through her early years of school without getting killed or her heart broken, too much at least. Her first love, Arielly Brambell, was the girl of her dreams. She was like the missing half. They caused great mayhem by keeping their relationship a secret while breaking all the little hopefuls. As well as ruining the lives around them. They were the perfect pair throughout high school till Arielly wanted to work as a lowly guard in the castle. Vivien joked that once she made it to the higher ranks, Arielly would eventually work under her. Arielly never liked being the submissive type so she said that if Vivien tried, she would kill her. Even as their relationship fell apart, neither one of them ended up dead.

Vivien's parents worked their butts off as models to provide for their girls. So when it came to decide on which school Vivien should go to, of course she picked the best money could buy, pursuing a career as a model. Lily came of age shortly after Vivien left, so when their mother told Vivien that Lily would be touring schools, Vivien tagged along. Lily was looking at schools relating to the musical world, Vivien commented that this school was known for having weak teaching methods and that set their mother's mind. And Lily's hatred for her sister only grew. Vivien went back to school happily satisfied that her sister's pathetic dreams of anything but a model were destroyed.

Shortly after the whole school fiasco, Vivien's time to shine had come. The Selection was announced and she stood in line since morning outside the Offices to take her picture. As she was going out, she saw Lily standing in line with her idiotic friends and her application was sticking out of her back pocket. Stealing a girl's sun hat, Vivien swiped Lily's application in between her slender fingers. She ripped it to shreds as she heard girls panicking behind her, letting the bits fly in the wind.

Now of course she was a Selected, how could she not? If she didn't get chosen, people would start to wonder. Lily was such a party pooper when the family held a big party in honor of Vivien. For once, couldn't Lily be happy for her? And to think Vivien went through the trouble of inviting Lily's types just to have them shot down like flies with her sister's bad mood. As the night went on, Vivien blacked out. She couldn't remember what happened after but her room was dark and she could hear crying. Smoothing down her hair, Vivien turned a corner and saw her sister hurling over the kitchen sink. How dare she not be happy for her? Seeing Vivien, Lily started to rant on how life was so unfair for her and how much Vivien ruined her life. Vivien couldn't believe this. Lily was the favorite. Her life was bliss, Having good friends and the way their parents smothered her with undying attention was enough to make one gag. Seeing her infuriated sister, Vivien decided to push it. How mad was she really? Vivien saw her sister eye the kitchen knives with shaky eyes and pushed her. "You know you want to." Vivien urged her. Lily gave in, charged Vivien till their parents came in to check out all the yelling and screaming. When they saw Lily go for a smirking Vivien, they were the ones who yelled and screamed for her not to. They pinned her to the floor and urged Vivien to call security. The following day, Vivien was brought before the castle. She could care less what happened to Lily. She got what she deserved for being the so called forgotten child. And if Lily couldn't be happy for her, that wasn't Vivien's problem. At least the brat was finally where she belonged.

history: Life as a five isn't always easy, as Astrid quickly learned. However, her parents did their best to keep her and her siblings fed and clothed. Astrid was five when her mother, Charlotte, first started teaching her how to sing and play piano. From then on, Astrid sang and performed at small parties and shows. When she was eight, Astrid sold her first painting, one of the sun rising over snow, a sight she has seen often enough living in Whites, a notoriously cold province. One day when Astrid was twelve, she lost a big show because she was late, losing money that would have helped her family in so many ways. Born as a caste 2, she never had to worry about money like other kids did and her parents often spoil her with new things. She is too much of a snob to think of other people who might be having trouble with that.

She trained with a sword for two years with her father and brother, who is a soldier. She is on pretty good terms with her family but she is especially close to her brother, who takes care of her all the time. Her father oftens leaves the house during the day and comes back late at night. Her mother and her suspect that her father is cheating but has no proof.

The only thing she is independent about is her marriage. Which she decided after her parents persuaded her to join the selection. She has a childhood friend who lives in a tiny house near her mansion, which she often confides in. Her friend encourages her to join the selection, not to marry the prince but to meet more people of her caste.

Born differently from the beginning, Lucinda didn’t expect much from life. She grew up in a family of eight kids, her being the oldest. However being the only one that was albino, Lucy felt a bit like an outcast. Luckily, her parents and siblings always made sure she felt otherwise. She was always told she was special, but it was hard to think that way when her family struggled in a caste seven lifestyle to begin with. Of course, as much as she loved gardening, it could only provide so much for her and her big family. She took the role of an adult by the age of ten, knowing that her parents could use all the help they could get. She didn’t have much time to spend for herself like a normal child, but even if she did, she was too insecure about her looks to even try to make friends. She just buried her life in nature, trying to take the workload off her parents and make life easier for her siblings. It was already bad enough for her not to have a childhood, she didn’t want the same for them. When word of the selection started to go around, her family suggested she could give it a try and enter in hopes to help the family. Lucinda entered, of course with the mindset that there was no chance in hell it would happen with someone like her. When Eva was young she was very outgoing and kind, but usually she wouldn’t get to show that she was outgoing because she was always doing her studies. She was funny, intelligent, and very very stubborn. She was also quite mature and serious for such a young child, she was also fairly quiet and preferred to listen more than talk. She was cool headed and rarely lost her temper, and there is still a lot of that young girl in Eva today, it’s just you have to get her to trust you before she shows her result self.

Now the Eva that people see today is quite different, she is cold, cocky and very very confident. She has a tung sharper than steel. She can be fast to anger and say cruel and harsh things that she doesn’t mean. She doesn’t trust easily, but if she does trust you you do not want to break that trust because she is someone who can easily make your life a living hell. She can be quite pervocative and flirtatious, she also has a way of always getting what she wants. She is an excellent public speaker and is very good at hiding her feelings in Normal life and in court.

Eva unlike her brothers took more after her father Jacos Samos, unlike her brothers who took after their mother with thick dark brown hair, smooth tan skin, grey almond shaped eyes, and slightly shorter stockier figures. While Eva has long waist length silver/platinum hair, that is very thick and silky and that looks almost like snow in sunlight. She has smooth milky pale skin, that never seems to tan or get darker no matter what season. Her eyes go in a very strong contrast with her pale hair and skin, her eyes are a bright fiery gold/orange color, that looks almost like the sky at sunset, framed with thick dark eyelashes and thine arched brows. She has sharp features, with arched cheekbones, and sharp feminine jaw, with a small sharp nose. She has a very lean sharp figure unlike most girls, yet figure is cut and shaped with lean muscle that she has gained with her years of training, she still has curve in her hips and chest, but she is smaller than most girls which makes it where she can wear more revealing clothes without getting in trouble for it. Legacy History:
The Samos family has long since been known as fighters, the in-tire Samos line is decorated in trophies, medals and banners from war achievements in assisting the kingdom in winning many wars. All of the Samos children are taught to fight, speak at least four different languages, be taught on how to maneuver in both the court and on the battle field, and be fluent public speakers, all children are taught this whether male or female. It is very uncommon for high ranking families to let their daughters learn to fight and defend themselves, in fact many Samos women have earned metals and banners for their service in wars and battles. The lowest ranking Samos military wise is a Guard in the Illéa palace, the highest ranking is a General, they have had many of their house members go on to be Generals. 


Her History:
Evangeline grew up along two brothers one of which is her twin Marcus. She grew up fighting and grappling with her brothers. Her parents had some of the best teachers and tutors come to teach their children, Eva and her brothers are all fluent in five languages, they are trained in hand to hand combat, swords, daggers, and horseback riding, they were all taught battle and court strategy, and they are all excellent dancers and public speakers. Along with the usual fighting techniques Eva and her brothers were allowed to learn to do their techniques of choice Eva chose to learn Judo (A Jappenese fighting style) and Kendo (a Japanese martial art) and mastered the art of the Katana. Eva would always fight and train with her brothers and most often she would best them quite easily. So her brothers started taking to calling her the little devil since she was smaller than them but was fierce and very dangerous. Eva did not have many friends, mainly because she was too busy to have friends and because they were all scared of her. But there was one boy who was never scared of her, and she often got to hang out with him because he worked in the stables and would sometimes come on horse rides with her, his name was Azriel and he saw a different side of Eva rather than the cold dangerous beast most people saw he saw a normal young girl. As the years went by they grew closer and closer together, until one day he proposed to her, she excepted but knew that her parents would never let her go with Azriel, so they planned to elope, somehow a servant found out about this and informed Eva’s parents. The night the had planned to leave Azriel was waiting for Eva down by the stables. Eva’s parents had had him kidnapped and taken far far away so that Eva would believe that he had stood her up. When Eva got there there was no trace of Azriel, she had been heart broken and furious that she had let herself fall for Azriel (By the way they were like 16-17).
