a 16-year-old child that would have entered the selection with Aster? They'd be someone Aster took in when she was fifteen (so they would have been 10 at the time) and someone currently under her care. they'd likely be a caste eight prior to being adopted by her mother. (so, 'sisters', but aster would be the one taking care of them.)

I'm making my selected, anyone wanted to make a character who would send them letters and basically be their childhood love and best friend.
