Folks, Readathon One - Kickoff.

Hello Spain and Croatia - it is 7:30AM (February 7th) in Spain and there is a half hour before kickoff.

Hello UK and Portugal - it is 6:34 in Portugal and the UK - get ready - in 1 hour and a half you will be kicking off.

Hello USA - East Coast - you will be kicking off in 6.5 hours.

Everybody who is reading at any point between the hours of 8AM and Noontime on February 7th in your part of the world must check in and post progress on the first Check In - this is Checkpoint One and is mandatory if you have read and want credit for that reading in the readathon.

Morning! :) Even though I planned to start reading at 8 a.m. sharp, it didn't happen (I overslept :D). But in about 30 min the ReadaThon will oficially start for me. This is going To be so much fun. :)

Samanta you are at 11:11 AM - here on the East Coast the time here is 5:12AM - we have three house to go to showtime.

Samanta being that it is 11:11 AM where you are - you are technically three hours into the Readathon and only have 45 minutes left to post in Check in and Checkpoint One for the time period of 8AM to Noon. So get over here quick and post within that 45 minutes if you have done some reading:

Here is the Checkpoint where you have to check in: (this is the 8AM to Noon Checkpoint. Samantha if you do not check in then you have to wait to the Noon to 4PM Checkpoint - checkpoint TWO to check in and you will not get credit for any reading from 8AM to Noon so if you are reading before NOON then get over to this link and post:

The East Coast does not start for 2 and a half hours.

Other folks who should be posting in Checkpoint One NOW are the UK and Portugal. It is 10:18AM in Portugal and the UK while in Spain it is 11:18AM.

All three locations should be posting in Check In - Checkpoint One before NOON to get credit for the 8AM to NOON timeslot and checkpoint. Otherwise you will have to wait to Check In and Checkpoint TWO if you are in the UK, Portugal and Spain.

Croatia - you are at 11:23 AM so Samanta you only have about 30 minutes to get your check in started and completed for CHECKPOINT ONE (CHECK IN) FOR 8AM UNTIL NOON.

US we have not begun the Readathon yet so all is well.

Use your particular time zone - you will always be answering ALL of these same questions for each checkpoint.

Good morning to all.

Welcome Francie. You are in the EST timezone in Georgia so proceed to Checkpoint One (8AM to Noon) Checkin so you can get credit for that time segment and officially sign in.

Answer all of the questions for each checkpoint.

You will have to come back before the end of the time segment to add pages read - you will know the page you are starting but you will not know what page you are ending on for that segment. I would suggest coming back by 11:30AM to complete Checkpoint One.

You should be able to answer all of the other questions now I would assume aside from completion of books which if you do complete a book in this segment - you can add that info at 11:30AM.
