Spiral is about Detective Ezekiel Banks and his partner William taking charge of an investigation into a string of murders that resemble those conducted by Jigsaw. The movie itself was not worth the watch. Chris Rock, the actor portraying Ezekiel Banks, was not believable as a tough cop. This is especially true when he is known for being a stand-up comedian, he just couldn't be taken seriously. None of the characters seemed particularly likable and the acting was not that great.
The plot was not interesting and was very predictable. It lacked the need of mystery and captivating the attention of the audience throughout the film. It was obvious who was responsible for the killings pretty early into the movie. One of the only things I found impressive was the gory aspects of the movie when the traps were being conducted. Other than that, this movie was a complete waste of time. I rate it a 1/5.
