So, here are my suggestions for the Team Tasks that we could buddy read. Let us know what interests you or if you have a different suggestion. We can take up the books that interests most people :))

1: Read a book where the rest of the series has covers that are consistently almost the same throughout the entire thing
- Most of the series have similar covers so idk
2: Read a book that has a title such as 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' for the entire series (must have 5 words)
- TBD
3: Read a book where the characters names are symbolic to the story (Percy is named from another Greek god)
- Cinderella is Dead
4: Read a book published in the year 2005
- The Book Thief, Looking for Alaska, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Uglies, Never Let Me Go
5: Read a book with a friend - lovers romance
- The Rest of the Story, Always Never Yours, Conversations with Friends
6: Read a book with a main character being friends with a magical being different from their own kind
- My Plain Jane, Radiance, Year of the Witching
7: Read a book that is centered around a school that is a boarding school
- Miss Peregrine's, Every Heart a Doorway, House in the Cerulean Sea
8: Read a book that is a spin off of Greek Mythology
- The Witch's Heart, Lore, Ariadne

Arundhati | 1454 comments I am confused by the 2nd prompt for the team task. Does it mean the series name should be of 5 words or the book name?? The book has to be part of a series right??

message 11: by nαомι (new)

nαомι αndιno (nndno) | 393 comments it's like Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief or Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets; it always starts with the characters name and the...blah blah blah

message 12: by nαомι (new)

nαомι αndιno (nndno) | 393 comments I'm reading Heroes of Olympus in July anyways and I think Arundhati and Sanjana are too? So we could continue that

message 13: by Arundhati (new)

Arundhati | 1454 comments Won't Harry Potter fit a lot of prompts for team tasks?? I haven't read so I have no idea. But HP series would be a easier buddy read I think.

message 14: by nαомι (new)

nαомι αndιno (nndno) | 393 comments Also I'd love to read Cinderella is Dead, Looking for Alaska, Miss Peregrine's, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and House in the Cerulean Sea

message 15: by Arundhati (new)

Arundhati | 1454 comments Yup I will join for hero of Olympus. I think Cassidy would be joining us Naomi. Sanjana hasn't finished PJO yet. Anyways reading percy jackson books would fetch us extra points even if not considered under any prompts.

Yess! If we can read that and log them in our prompts, I'd love to buddy read them. Although I've already read the series.

I'll be reading PJO books too

message 20: by Arundhati (new)

Arundhati | 1454 comments I can't recall any series name with 5 words...most of the series name I can recollect now are 4 words lol. These prompts are tough.

message 21: by Sanjana (new)

Sanjana | 1126 comments "if a team member reads the book on which their team is based, then the team will get 4 points."

does HOO count for this, or only the PJO series?

Does that series have Percy in it?

message 23: by Arundhati (new)

Arundhati | 1454 comments Good point Sanjana. Technically it should since HoO has the original characters. Maybe we should clarify from Rushali??

Yeah

message 25: by Arundhati (new)

Arundhati | 1454 comments Ya it has many characters from the original series....I think. Can anyone who has read the series confirm this??

message 26: by Sreehitha (new)

Sreehitha | 944 comments We anyways reading the heroes of olympus series.... I guess a few tasks can be completed by reading HOO

message 27: by nαомι (new)

nαомι αndιno (nndno) | 393 comments the first HoO book only mentions Percy...I think he only shows up in the last chapter (if he shows up)
then the second book is pretty much all about him and the last three still have him as one of the MCs

message 28: by Arundhati (new)

Arundhati | 1454 comments Yup that's true. Either ways we can get scores. If it doesn't qualify as the namesake series, we can use it to complete the team tasks. Oh that would solve so many problems.

message 34: by Arundhati (new)

Arundhati | 1454 comments Well according to Rushali's reply, we can't use HoO to complete the prompts now right? They are Percy Jackson books

message 35: by Rida (new)

Rida Quraishi | 2225 comments Mod
Here are some options for this one:

2: Read a book that has a title such as 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' for the entire series (must have 5 words)
- An Ember in the Ashes, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, The Wrath and the Dawn, Songs of Wraiths and Ruin

message 36: by Seren ✶ (new)

Seren ✶ (ingary) I have an issue: I have read the HP series several times already, and I'm really not looking forward to read it again :( What should I do?

message 38: by Arundhati (new)

Arundhati | 1454 comments Hey I have a thought. First off how many books can we log under a prompt? Can we do multiple?? If so we can splitup and do the team task. 3 people each for buddy read. That way those who don't want to reread can br something else.

message 39: by Seren ✶ (new)

Seren ✶ (ingary) I have a suggestion for the 2nd prompt too:
A Court of Thorns and Roses; every book starts with the same words and the titles have 5+ words
