(view spoiler)[ Noo Alexei actually seemed like a pomising character that I didn't know yet from the show, I'm sad. I haven't been a Malina fan in the show, and so far it hasn't changed ^^ (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I'm wondering if Alina is not part Shu in the books as she is in the series? It hasn't been mentioned yet I believe. Also it's still super super close to the show, even some dialogue lines. But I appreciate the extra dialogue we're getting (hide spoiler)]

The Six of Crows characters appear in the TV show, yes! And they have their own duology in the Grishaverse books.

I liked the Darkling better than Mal too lol.

Yesss! Some things are completely different in the show, while at the same time some quotes are word for word.
As for your second spoiler, in the books she is not indeed :)

Ahh ok, I was wondering if I just missed it! I really liked that aspect in the show, it added some extra conflict for Alina and the storyline (not that I would wish experience of racism on someone, even a character)
I guess going into the second book the plot must be different to the show and new to me, so I'm a little more excited haha.
