Goodreads Authors/Readers discussion

Hi everybody,
My name is Michael Maguire and I am an Irish epic fantasy author residing in Sydney, Australia.
I have just released my debut fantasy novel "Identical Strangers" and thought I'd come to Goodreads in search of some like-minded authors and readers.
I'm currently trying to get my head around the sheer size of this website, so please be gentle if I've posted this in the wrong spot.
Any advice moving forward would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not loving the lockdown, but the restrictions here compared to back in Ireland are quite timid so I won't complain.

In regards to Goodreads, I'm more just trying to figure it where I can post my book and get some reviews...all without annoying people who don't want an author advertising his wares everywhere. lol

This site is huge. :)

When you figure Goodreads out, Michael Maguire, please let the rest of us know.

Hi Michael,

I found your book on Goodreads.

There is a fantasy group you can join. Click Community, click, Groups. I'm very bad at Social Media which, in essence, is what Goodreads is, but I have found that you must check with the moderator of the group what you can post and what you can't. All the groups have different rules.

For example, I got some help from the Librarians group once, only to be told by the moderator that what I'd asked wasn't what they did.
