Come join us to discuss the Medal Winner,
The Slave Dancer by Paula Fox
and/or the Honor book
The Dark is Rising by Susan Cooper.
Note that the latter is second in a series.

Both books are available on openlibrary.org.

Both are also at my local library... I have a feeling they are widely avl.
I will try to read Over Sea, Under Stone first; I have already requested it.

Oops, sorry I forgot to open this thread!

Ok, I couldn't stomach Slave Dancer: dnf.

Over Sea, Under Stone didn't work for me at all... BUT you don't need it to appreciate The Dark is Rising. Which is a better book, and probably worth reading, but also very intense. (See my review.)
