Oops, sorry I forgot to open this thread!
Ok, I couldn't stomach Slave Dancer: dnf.
Over Sea, Under Stone didn't work for me at all... BUT you don't need it to appreciate The Dark is Rising. Which is a better book, and probably worth reading, but also very intense. (See my review.)
