July is National Park and Recreation Month! Let's talk about favorite books on travel. Feel free to share a title that made you want to hit the road, jump on a plane, hike, bike, or board a train. My all-time favorite travel book is William Least Heat Moon's "Blue Highways," a book that forever changed my outlook. Heat Moon's 1982 autobiography takes readers all over America on the back roads that appeared in blue alongside the red highway lines on older maps. Back road travel is all about the journey rather than the destination and I have read Blue Highways many times since I first discovered it.
