I thought I'd post a list of 10 books that I found. I'd like to make sure that anyone interested could get their hands on them. We can strike any that are unavailable or hard to find. Please let me know your thoughts.

I couldn’t locate a copy of Fraudster. I can get the rest…Out & Murder on Red Cliff Rex have to be requested as there is only one copy of each. All the Beautiful Sinners, Blanche on the Lam, Black Water Rising & Golden Seals only as EBooks. The remaining three should not be a problem.

Leena, what does this list look like for you with regard to availability of books?

I can not get Out or Fraudster at my local library. That said, we'll be moving from Arizona to Florida during the time this read will go on so that many change the availability. I'll participate if I can. This seems like a great selection.

Lisa, I gave a request. Currently my library system is in the process of putting a new statewide delivery system online and delivery is sooo delayed at this time. Would it be possible to have the first one or two reads from this collection be Winter Counts, Malice or The Long Fall. I can get these at my local branch. Thank you.

Hi friends, what do you all think of this order:
September - Malice
October - The Long Fall
November - Winter Counts
December - The Golden Scales
January - Black Water Rising
February - Out
March - Blanche On The Lam
I’ll get discussion threads posted in the next couple of days.

I've been thinking about a collection to read in fall/winter. Over the last year, I've read several novels by Walter Mosley, Steven Graham Jones, and Keigo Higashino, to great enjoyment. All of these authors are of different ethnicities from my own, and from that of most mystery authors that I have read over the years. The different perspective was striking and rather wonderful. I am working on curating a list of 6 books that will take us from September through February. Please let me know if you would like to join in, and if you have any thoughts.
Thank you!
Lisa
