Cait (clickcait) | 480 comments Welcome to the group. I just finished reading Frankenstein last night and your Week 47 book's got me intrigued, I've got two books by that author on my shelf already. :-)

Good luck with the challenge.

I read If I Stay last week for the book that became a movie. It was short which was nice and was definitely a good book but I really liked Me Before You, which I read the week before. I would strongly recommend it for week 40 if you haven't read it already :)

That is the 3rd in a series and I absolutely LOVED the first one. I had no idea there was a 3rd and the synopsis stated it is set during the Christmas season with the main character's daughter. I'm looking forward to it :)

Thanks for the recommendation! I'm not sure how I'll feel about If I Stay and only bought it on my Kindle because it was on sale for like $1.99 and the library had a wait list. I'll look in to Me Before You. Thanks!

Cait (clickcait) | 480 comments Ah, that's cool. I've got the first two in the series then. I picked the first up in a charity shop and then saw the second a few months later and picked it up because of the title, then realised afterwards they were both by the same author. I'll have to treat myself to the third.

Do you knit?

Yes I do and after I read the first one I spent a couple months in a knitting frenzy! Now I pick it up occasionally, but I do have spurts (usually in the winter time) where I knit more regularly.

Cait (clickcait) | 480 comments The first two books are one of the next on my bookshelf. I'm looking forward to starting them, I've been in a bit of a knitting funk recently so hopefully it'll pep me up a bit!

Amy Stabenow | 21 comments Ohh. #47 looks interesting to me also. Have you read Stephanie Pearl-McPhee's books on knitting? they are non fiction, but funny.

message 11: by Deanna (new)

Deanna (anna4ce) a nonfiction knitting book that is funny? I'm curious! I'll have to check it out - thanks for the suggestion!

message 12: by Ella (new)

Ella | 234 comments We have a few of the same books. What did you think about the Selection? I cry at lots of books so #40 won't be that hard for me. If you cried in The Fault in Our Stars, you could switch that with If I Stay. If I Stay is on my TBR too.

I ended up loving the Selection. I've been on a YA/dystopian kick for about 2 years now, which is kind of embarrassing to say, but I really liked the Selection. It reminded me of the TV show The Bachelor mixed with Cinderella and Divergent (only in the aspect of there being different factions). I don't think it was anything thought provoking or deep (I mean, it is YA...) but it ended up being interesting enough that I sat down and read it in one day when I didn't intend to. Now I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series :)

Ella | 234 comments I read the rest of the Selection series. I really enjoyed it. So funny, I found out ri h t after I finished, my 12 year old daughter was also reading The Selection. How are you liking Pride and Prejudice?

I just finished it this morning and I liked it. I didn't love it as much as I loved Emma, but it was pretty good. Now to find a movie version to watch :) I just love reading books and then watching movies of them - even though they rarely ever do the book justice!
