I haven't read any of these but I really like the sound of these two;

- A 1920s novel that focuses on the seediness and mafia along with and in contrast to the glitz? I like it.

- I've never seen alternate history set this close to the actual timeline and populated with living people. Interesting idea.

I've already read the Kate Daniels books before and I really enjoyed them and I was thinking just last week how I wanted to revisit them so it comes at the perfect time.

I understand family things very well. My dad is 89 and my hubby and I are his caregivers. My MIL is 90 and my hubby spends a lot of time doing yard work and repairs for her. Along with our full time jobs these are our other full time jobs. Reading is my escape. Thanks for the picks.

Not picking is not a problem. Life is life and family ALWAYS comes first. My faith, reading and crocheting are what get me through the days. I pray that things are well with you and you have a nice holiday weekend.

Review - This was the prequel to the Graveyard Queen series that I never did get around to reading when I read the series. It's a very small introduction to some of the main characters in the series, but honestly it's not needed to enjoy the actual series. I gave it 4 stars because it's paranormal and I enjoyed the Graveyard Queen series.

Finished my first pick - . This was really good and lived up to the hype for me. I thought I knew it all, but I did not.

Plus two others off my list - ; both of which I enjoyed. It's been a pretty spooky summer.
