Brenden (brendenbourne) I'm looking for books that can help someone with transitioning from a hookup lifestyle to a committed relationship.

Thanks for any and all suggestions!

1) It's not for me. 2) Don't be a slut; it's dirty and you're probably diseased. (See, not nice having your lifestyle invalidated, is it?)

Jo (joeyjoejo) | 3 comments wouldn't say it helped with moving from hookup to committed and yeah its pop psychology but my relationships intimate and social benefited from "A new earth" by Eckhardt. mostly it helped with the self shaming and self acceptance. The concept of the conscious yes and no was very impact full. good luck love can be hard

Israel (hummusita) opening up by Tristan - the book talks about committed open relationships. you can apply lots of the communication skills and boundary setting to essentially any type of committed relationships you are wanting to be in tho

Tristan | 2 comments This is an old thread so you might not be looking for this type of book anymore but for anyone who is, "This Is Supposed to Be Fun: How to Find Joy in Hooking Up, Settling Down, and Everything in Between" is a relevant read.
